Turn down the suck!

Oh man... 360 controller versus pc users with their keyboard and mouse! Whats crazy is I'll be amazing even with my 360 controller, but I'm god with a keyboard and mouse, but I'll show them who's boss. Not only that there is a very high chance that not all pc users will have a pc that runs it flawlessly so we can just take advantage of people with bad pcs :P

I think Auto-aim/Cursor Adhesion is quite enough of a handicap though, for the most part..but it wouldn't be enough to make that an even competition..granted..but some people just suck..for that, Op can beat them up with his gamepad.
I'd imagine they'd make it possible (I hope) to tell what the people you're playing with are using--so that you might filter out gamepad players if you'd like..personally--I'd rather that no one I'm playing with use a pad..screw that. I don't know how people can even play COD2 on a pad--but I guess when it's what everyone else is using, it's not that bad..well, I know how you CAN do it..I just don't know why anyone would want to. Probably a pretty different experience all together..small rooms, slower pace..32+ player COD2 servers are non-stop and ultra fast..it's run and gun, more or less--with aiming and good hit detection.
I just love pure sci-fi and fantasy either seperatly or in combination, like Final fantasy Dirge of Cerberus or Advent Children style.
The Graphics are hot, veichles or rough and the races are awesome. But there is no sign the different weapons on how they work and look like in game. But thats all gonna change in E3.
So as far as the sci-fi FPS goes, or the whole FPS in general for me (only play sci-fi FPS) so is Huxley, Dark Sector, Project IM and Wardevil is my most anticipated games I am waiting for, and thats from day one.
They could always do a small Live filter
ALLOW:
KB/MS
Gamepad
Both
Anyhow, not a big fan of Huxley's art, but if they allow KB/MS and 200 people.... I would be interested!
I am too poor to own a 360... therefor I play with paper statistics. The results of my indepth scientific anaylisis determined the most important benchmark is Pi. As in The Ring of Light.
There are some AMAZING controller players out there like team3d's halo 2 team which is just unstoppable.

If these people are considering pitching 360 owners against PC owners then surely they must've considered the potential gameplay issues with that. If they haven't they're just absolute nutters.

And if you have an online 200-man battle, I doubt the the lack of accurisy of a gamepad is gonna mather that much.
You will succeed in mmo huxley with a 360 controller by playing smart.

1. KB/MS is much more accurate & percise in fine adjustments. Don't believe me? Take a look at many of the movies at Xboxyde, especially the BF2MC movies. Note how they pray and spray, especially while moving. Most gamers have a hard time moving/changing directions WHILE at the same time moving the cross hairs, especially fine adjustments on the fly, to aim.
2. Gamepads don't allow the same amount of speed / finesse in regards to going from a fine movement to a very large FAST movement. e.g. Most console FPS have this lame thing where you push left and after a second or two you begin to move FAST. With a Mouse you can whip 180 degrees in 1/10th of a second.
Heck, on the extreme end some of us are using Mice that adjust sensativity with the tap of a button, taking us from 400-800-1600 resolutions for more accuracy in different environments.
Since they have 200 people, they need to make the game responsive. Anything less would just be a gimmick--200 people on screen just firing. Feeling overwhelmed with numbers of enemies and little control/accuracy would be a big mistake.
If you look at the best FPS, they all had very tight and balanced game control, including the ability to aim accurately.

You can play smart + have better controls.
Your don't have to choose. Us FPS addicts don't run around saying, "I got a Mouse, so I can play reckless". Nope, the good ones are very VERY good at tactics and knowing the strengths and weaknesses of their character and the game design and tailor their playing approach to meet it.
So the issue is not one of adjustment--it is a given gamepad plays will need to adjust--the quesiton is on the whole whether gamepad players can adjust to overcome a better control scheme. Your point assumes KB/MS players would likewise not adjust.
There is a reason the best gamers in the world use KB/MS and why MS has openly said that a KB/MS gives an unfair competive advantage.
How about this Optimus, I will take you with my KB/MS vs. your Gamepad ;) We will see how fast you adjust!

What I'm saying is that there are some TERRIBLE kb/ mouse users out there that would get annihilated by people with a controller. There are terrible people with a controller too, then there are the average keyboard and mouse users that would probably go even with a gamepad user. Now... a keyboard mouse user like myself I think no gamepad user would do too well ;)
http://esportsea.com/index.php?s=servers&d=pugs&id... hehe i love counter-strike, but its been getting the shaft lately thanks to the 360.

I prefer Pad to Keyboard and mouse so I will be playing mainly with consolers.

All things being equal, the controllers aren't.
