Did you agree with me? Yes, No? Visit http://www.lebato.blogspot.com and see if we agree on something.
Lets hope Human Head and Venom are up to the task... and the 360 gets a rock solid port.
I am too poor to own a 360... therefor I play with paper statistics. The results of my indepth scientific anaylisis determined the most important benchmark is Pi. As in The Ring of Light.
Must buy.

One day you will be mine Ms Portman!
I also think this game is going to be a bit different of an experience..I'm still interested in their use of portals and escher like laws of gravity.
I highly dissagree that this is the best use of the Doom 3 engine we've seen thus far though, I believe that would be ET:Quake Wars..since neither is out, you can't really say one predates the other..and ET:QW is a very impressive use of its engine.
Never judge a game too harshly via screenshots or videos, because they are in no way capable of properly representing what the game truly looks like were you to see it running in front of you on a 360
That said, QW looks great, but Prey and QW are diametrically opposed in regards to how they have used the base D3 engine. Both look good, very hard to compare/contrast.
At the core both have the excellent Stencil Shadow Volumes; Prey had very detailed environments with a metalic-slimy deal going with a lot of "glowing" and oozing effects whereas QW is outside, less detailed in the environment yet much more vast. Their themes are really different as well.
So good point Grift... although I could have copped out and gone the Optimus, "QW is D3+Megatextures!" =P Either way these 2 games are looking to both be EXCELLENT games if the gameplay lives up to the footage so far.

I'm just dying to see what return to castle wolfenstein for the 360 will look like. That game there is going to be gorgeous. If should be comparable or better than bia3.

It seems Quake Wars (and to a lesser extent, Prey) has substantially better art.
And basing the entire shadowing system in stencil shadows was a mistake even Carmack admitted.

Although since then, I know they've made some tweaks to the gameplay and a few other changes, hence it's been put back a bit to the summer. (It was penciled in for May I think).
To my untrained eyes, 360 version looked as good as the PC version, though our top end PC only has an ATI X850 so might be lacking somewhat now. You can certainly tell it uses the Doom 3 engine but it's very well lit, I can see where I'm going this time!
Weapons look very cool! They don't neccessairly do anything particulary new, but they're certainly interesting to look at. I'd say the Art direction in this game is of a high quality as a whole in fact. Possibly not for the squeamish, it does a good job of making you feel uncomfortable in the surroundings.
Gameplay wise I actually thought it was pretty good. It's not really a run and gun shooter. A lot of the time you have to use the gravity walks/spirit walking creatively to get to a new area. Expecting another shooter, I actually came away quite suprised :)
Not sure about multi-player though, I think it's only 8 max? And as far new features go, nada. PC version = xbox 360 version from what I could tell.
