Bah... it better get a MONSTER graphical overhaul or NOBODY will buy it lol. Valve will be pissed to say the least give us something new or not at all.

Yes, while FarCry on 360 was an improvement over the original Xbox, I expected more.

HL2 with Episode 1 (and 2?)

I know hl2 is a great looking shooter and the art direction is incredible, but the game right now is pretty damn old I have to admit.

I know they will give it some graphical bells and whistles that the original game didn't have, but nothing changes that mostly everyone that has wanted the game has probably already bought it by now so I think them putting it on the 360 it might not do as well as it should. PDZ was nothing amazing graphically we all know that and it doesn't compete with half life 2, basically most of the shooters on the 360 are ports anyway.

You can't really compare ghost recon to half life 2, graw gets pure graphics win in my eyes, but half life 2 is still a much more beautiful game and ahead of its time in a way thanks to art direction.

BF2 MC 360 can't be compared to half life 2, neither can far cry be compared. Hell even prey I don't consider to be leaps and bounds beyond half life 2, but I expect Halo 3 atleast will be the first 360 fps to truly set the record straight. Hell even rainbow six vegas succumbs to the pressure from half life 2's attention to detail. Half life 2 is just an amazing intelligent use of resources is the best way I can put it.

I should've been clear on what I meant alot of people have been all over this game as you should know and they will need a great incentive to convince many to get it again... maybe many console users never got it because they never liked using a pc so I can see how it could still be more successful than the pc version depending on what valve does with it.

Just bought this game as a B/C for xbox 360. Apart from the frame rate issues, this is an amazing game. The physics are the best I've seen on a console and some of the challanges and puzzles that require the use of these physics are incredible. I really dont know how they crammed this huge game onto xbox.

I am quite bummed now, as I would have prefered to get this on 360. But depending on whether it includes MP and the expansion pack, I might consider it playing it over again.

IMO they should let this game go now and get to work on Half Life 3 for the 360.

Well it isn't the fault of the 360.. its just bad emulation. Rudds Half Life 2 is incredible once you really get into it.

Its one of the few pc games people respect so much they'll actually buy it as opposed to pirating it :)

Its not much worse than xbox. Its definately playable, and worth the £14 or so.

There is a few moments that are gauranteed to stutter,
1. straight after a load screen for about 2 seconds, (which there are quite a few of)
2. when driving and shooting, with a lot of objects on the map. The frame rate slows down, but is not unplayable.

other than that, most the gun fights, puzzles and driving, run smooth enough, and is just as enjoyable as playing on a mid spec PC. Definately worth it if you can't wait for the 360 version.

If this comes out in Feb 07 ... then I will def by it, and by then all the episodes should be out (only 3) so Half-Life 2, 3 episodes, CSS and HL deathmatch will def make me buy.
Even if it didn't come with with CSS and DM I would still buy it ... well maybe, atleast CSS should be there.
