During the briefing they showed the first ever gameplay footage of Carbon running on PS3 hardware. They pointed out that it was "still very early in production," but it looked pretty unimpressive. It looked decent, but none of the reflections or any high-end effects were in place what so ever. And if PS3 is planning on reaching their expected launch, I'd have thought they'd have been a bit more along with this game than "still very early in production," particularly since the 360 version is so polished and looking great.
Then after the hands-on part of the show opened up for the rest of the day, I went to the Carbon room where they had it running on 3 Xbox 360s and one station where it was supposed to be running on PS3 "hardware." While they didn't actually have a PS3 there, they did have it running off of a laptop...the only problem was it crashed. Then they couldn't get it back up and running. When we asked what was wrong, they said "it appears to be some kind of network error."
You would think that if the PS3 was actually going to launch anytime this year, they could have had Carbon running on something a little more final than a laptop right?
Anyways, I just thought I would share. I was pretty surprised, as were several other people on hand.
Oh, and the 360 version is hot! I really dig NFS since the Underground games and really liked Most Wanted on the 360. Carbon looks to be a little different in that it focuses a lot on drifting and style racing, but none the less it is sure on my radar!

Wii60 = 399 + 199 = 600$
