I was expecting solid 8s and perhaps a 9 from one of the reviewers. Hopefully it's not a trend but an exception. Now I need to play the demo to be able to decide.

What?
ps I told them not to mess with the Bomberman formula.
See what happens when you don't listen.
Now get the old version up on Arcade...quick!
What?
Take one 360, add some chopped PS3, stir in some Wii, a sprinkling of DS Lite. Enjoy :)
Fanboy=Ban boy.
If average scores from other publications come out and they are pretty much the same, I'd definetely have to play the demo to make a decision.

As for Dead Rising, I do sometimes wonder how long these people play the game. It's designed so that it's not possible to do everything within one run of "72" hours. Hence, each playthrough is largely going to be different.
The Kameo reviews were a case in point....I'm not saying it was *the* greatest game but I got a solid 30 hours out of that and the elementals side of things was intelligently put together. If I had time, I'd probably do the campaign again. However most reviewers seemed to bash through the story mode in 6 hours and leave it at that. Sure it's short and I bet they made cuts for launch but they missed the point.
Same goes for Dead Rising, play the demo. It's not for everyone but I found it a lot of fun.
If that was the case I wouldn't love kingdom hearts II so much after the terrible score ign gave it. Also am I the only one here that knows how biased egm is in favor of sony???
Blue Dragon Blue Dragon 青いドラゴン
"Doh! Hairy Nipples!!"
recommend music.

That DR demo will prove once in for all whether this is the Night of the Walking Dead or the Land of the Dead of Zombie games.

this is a false rumour.
360 = 299 + 100 HDDVD = 399 | Wii = 199
Wii60 = 399 + 199 = 600$

And I do agree that many times these people don't play the games that much. Many reviewers thought Riddick was too short and lowered the score for that, and I thought it was fine and offered very good replay value (finding cigarrette packets, etc)

I don't work for Volition, so I'm not absolutely sure either way. But I wouldn't be surprised.

Crysis spin-off, I can see that happening after Far Cry Instincts. Aslong as its got the same cool designs and awesome engine, I'll be happy.
Free Virtual Console games, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask with Twilight Princess :D? I'd save hundreds! I wanna believe in the Wii.
I didn't think the Zune would do much gaming. I'd probably take alot more interest in one if it had Halo Lite.
Elder Scrolls V? Next year? Why, when the last ones went so long in between releases. I haven't even beaten IV yet .

After what 1UP did to Kameo, I will never trust these pathetic journalists again.

I've not seen anything on the demo so I don't know what it will be. However, if they do it right, they'll add a couple of missions and give you a small area of the mall to play around in, kinda like Saint's Row.
My point really was it's an individual kind of game, you'll either love all the wacky stuff you can do or get bored quickly. Personally I love the humour and sheer variety of methods used to despatch litterally thousands of zombies. There will be reviewers who just don't appreciate that, or don't get it, hence you're better off playing the demo rather than worrying about review scores
I don't work for Volition, so I'm not absolutely sure either way. But I wouldn't be surprised.
Given the frame rate issues that have plagued this game for months, I don't see how they will have had time to ramp up PS3 development and get a working game out in November, not with the cross platform differences. There just wouldn't be the install base for it to pay off either.
I don't rule out seeing it at some point, but I would say it's far more likely to make an appearence on PC. It would certainly not make sense to launch a PS3 port of a year old 360 game late next year with GTAIV on the horizon, so they've got a very limited window to get it out and make the sales. I don't think I've seen any PS3 stuff from THQ yet, though there might be some out there.
Unlikely.
