*please be as good as expected*
UPDATE: I downloaded, played, did homework, went to school, got back and now, what you all were waiting for, my opinion!!!
Ok so to start this off, this game is a must buy for me, and I believe it even has very good chances to many AAA reviews.
Gameplay first. The gameplay is really really good. I like lists, so I'm going to go ahead and point out the pros and cons to make things easier and more to the point.
+Players move to what I believe is their corresponding speed, which I think is very important.
+Dribbling with the left stick feels very natural after a while.
+Sig moves are awesome.
+Post play is the best I've used.....by far.
+I don't know, it just feels realistic.
-Controls feel awkward at first and after playing quite a bit, I'm still not used to them. By this I only mean on defense since you have to block by pressing Y? WTF? X tries to steal? WTF? B to look for foul? WTF? I'm hoping this can be changed to something like:
X: Block
Y: Look for offense foul
B: Steal ball
You know, like in all past games? I know I'd get used to this, but I still prefer the old ones.
-Opposing AI goes crazy with dribbling at times and I think you don't have that much control over your player when they go this crazy, and then they score
-You don't have much control over freethrows? I still don't quite get the system.
-Opposing AI needs a bit of tweaking, sometimes it's too easy to pass defense with Shaq.
Graphics: There are some up and downs here, but mostly good. Pros and Cons.
+Animations are jaw-dropping, including the uniform.
+Some players look very VERY good.
+Court looks great, and there's a lot of stuff on the sidelines.......mostly people (duh).
+Replays are also very good.......except for the Toyota ones.....
+Loading is lighting fast :D
-The uniform can get stuck to player's body, only happened once, but seeing as how stunning it moves, I don't mind at all.
-Some players look very VERY awful. They call that Dirk Novitsky? Is that Jason Williams? Really? In other words, player likeness for some are just way off. It's easier to recognize Dirk by the way he shoots than by the way he looks, no kidding.
-There's a fair amount of aliasing, but that maybe more noticeable because I'm playing on SDTV?
Audio:
+Ok commentator
+OK crowd noise
+ Very good court music
-No real cons here that I noticed.
So that's pretty much it. I also think it's worth mentioning that the demo lets you restart as many times as you want, and that's the way to do things--EA should learn a bit from this.

Inscrit depuis 7343 JoursYou know what I see as a problem? A lot of early ps3 vs 360 comparisons will go in favor of the ps3. Because devs need to do tiling for their engines to get the free 4XAA on the 360. The ps3 gpu doesn't need a tiled engine so thats an advantage there.

And someone mentioned the camera, and after playing with a real player and not the CPU, I also can't stand that camera!!!!
Really, you can't see s*** of what's going on with that camera. So in the final game, I'm hoping for the camera behind the player, that one is perfect.

Inscrit depuis 7147 JoursAnd yeah you will be able to change the camera angle to pretty much whatever you want so its great. I say all this assuming they don't take these options out of 2k7 from 2k6....which would be PURE insanity
