Not sure if this has been discussed or not, but there will be an open beta starting on October 11th for one week on Xbox Live. I'm sort of on the fence with this one, but I'll surely be participating in the beta..can't wait really--can't believe that it's aparently this week and no one's mentioned it?

the news came out like yesterday about this. I'm surely going to participate in the beta, although the download servers for the game will get overheated or something so will probably take me a day or 2 to download this. :P

Take one 360, add some chopped PS3, stir in some Wii, a sprinkling of DS Lite. Enjoy :)

We apologize, but the BETA release dates have changed. The release date will no longer be Oct 11th, but should see release very soon after. Please watch this page, as well as our Official Phantasy Star Universe forums for more information. Thank you for your patience, we look forward to seeing everyone online very soon!
BOOOOO! I should have known better--when's the last time a third party has announced a release date for marketplace content and actually gotten it right. Hopefully if the release gets pushed back a few days--the beta schedule will follow. I expect this to be a week long, regardless of when it drops :/

Uh, where did you read that? Doesn't say anything of the sort on the PSU site. (other than it requiring XBL:Gold)

The Phantasy Star Universe Xbox 360 Open Beta will be uploaded to Xbox Live Marketplace this weekend, so get ready to download and play with your friends! In order to give more people the opportunity to enjoy this exclusive free beta, with extended untinterrupted weekend play, the multiplayer open beta will be available for download for two days only, and will be playable through to Oct. 18.

Guess it won't run to the 18th--XBL will be down on the 17th for 24 hour maintenance (and it's not even a dashboard update, grr).

Third party events on XBL seem to be working out well :/
