Well, that's their opinion, obviously parts won't look as good as the trailer, such as having some aliasing, but overall I see it definitely acheives the right feel, and the physics and graphics pretty much acheive the target.

I played it on the gameplay in the Netherlands, it looked good..... and compared to the other games it indeed looked the best.

no way in god earth does this game show the potential of the ps3 ove the xbox360.

and if people DO think that the need to get down to specsavers.

damn fanboy reporting style, such an awesome package that has the total ampount of 9 tracks and no online play,
christ how many tracks did pgr3 have and fully onlie playable and (imo) still looks better than motorstorm , and that was a socalled "rushed" 360 launch game

MS doesn't look like the E3 trailer, texture quality alone is nowhere near the same.

Infact the rock/landscape textures in this game are sub par in a lot of the video's i have seen.

For the most part it does look very good though, but i wouldn't say it looks any better visially than PGR3 for example.

Plus PGR3 has a shit load more tracks and vechicles, plus online and a spectators mode.. etc etc

It's a good try (and visually stunning) but it seems rushed and unfinished, with only 9 tracks and no online.

One thing for sure though, if this is a launch window title, i can't wait to see what FF13 looks like :)

It doesn't look like the E3 trailer... It doesn't. But it does look very good. Best PS3 title yet. Even the developers says they did a good job of acheiving the E3 trailer as a target, and says the next version should be there.

The game looks good, but come on, Kikizo is seriously overreacting. The video posted by jato says it all. As for the game itself, I'm sure it's not going to cut it. The game is lacking.

To be honest, that vid at gametrailers, is pretty bias.
They didn't even use the incar view (which looks the best imo)

The E3 trailer looks so good, it's almost real :|

How anyone ever thought the PS3 could live up to that is beyond me.

Obviously doesn't come close to the E3 trailer as far as graphics goes. I remember one very defining point of the E3 trailer were the mud effects. All I've seen so far from the videos are some dirt effects which are no where near as impressive.

The videos here have shown how great this game looks, not only graphics wise, but animation, physics, and vehicle damage is really amazing.

motorstorm looks awesome and a lot of the trailer made it into the game. the feeling you have when you are driving behind some other vehicles, the dust, the light, the physics are unmatched. the comparison from gametrailers is a joke.. I mean even I would think "WTF" if I only watched the trailer... the game is great!

look at the lighting, physics, particlesystem... some very short FPS view (the guy sucks at motorstorm) and then add some competitors - driving like crazy. it so much fun!

The game is lacking content, a lot of content. It's way too poor.

Other than that, I was thinking it was going to be a more serious game, but then I saw the turbo and I said.......no, this is not it.

I DO like arcade racing games though.

The physics are great in the sense that drivers have ragdolls, the mud, the damage, etc etc. Now let's take the bikes for example. The bikes move like crap, who the hell drives a bike that way? To me it looks ridiculous, is that simple. The other vehicles move more respectably.

Now, what the first trailer showed us, they failed miserably at achieving the trailer look.

And I don't blame them, it's not possible in this generation to see what we saw in that trailer. The game still looks amazing, not "second coming" amazing since PGR3 has been already out there for a while. But I don't think I can complain about the graphics.

This is of course my opinion after seeing videos and not having played the game. Considering someone around here was saying it was the PS3's killer APP, I think it's good to be realistic and judge this title for what a it is, a good racing game, nothing else. And honest reviews will back me up unless they overhaul the game for release.
