Vivendi have a confirmed Battlestar Galactica arcade game in the works, I had put it in the 2007 list, I guess they must be working on two titles then having acquired the license.

They didn't do too bad a job with the Scarface licenses. Exclusive doesn't sound quite right to me unless it was PC/360.

Well, this isn't too far off base. They're both science fiction, though I wouldn't really say that BSG is much like Star Trek. They've got a different sort of setting and feel. They share some writers though, too..so it's not too suprising to see people make that connection.

Still a far different sort of show than Star Trek: The Next Generation..one was more about exploration and aliens and one is about war..with machines, so it's sort of like Star Trek meets Terminator :)

And yea it's awesome and anyone who digs science fiction should do themselves a favor and watch it..it's the best Sci-Fi on TV in forever.

In fact, I'll first it too in a sense, because it's the first traditional people-in-a-control-room-looking-at-radar-screens sci fi thingy I've managed to watch without being bored stiff.

(Firefly/Serenity doesn't count, because it's not a traditional people-in-a-control-room-looking-at-radar-screens sci fi thingy.)

On top of that, it's really good aswell!

They've updated interviews talking about it and what not. I got the bookmarks somewhere if you want to read um.

and no I haven't, I borrowed cousins DC and GC since he wanted to borrow the 360 a bit longer. He's like addicted to marvel UA and gears of war. I'll be getting it back before LP is released doh, no way in hell hes stopping me from playing that :P

On top of that, it's really good aswell!
Actually, even though it is technically Sci-Fi it is more of drama. In fact, it is easily one of the best, most acclaimed shows on TV overall (if not THE best). Also, it is possible that Mass Effect draws some inspiration since the dudes at Bioware are supposedly big fans and since they have hinted as much on thier forums. :)

Wow I can't believe its that good and I've never even heard of it till I saw it show up on xbox live lol. Probably cause I'm always wrapped up in anime :D

It got the highest average reviews of any TV show this year with 94 at metacritic (it is rare for a TV show to break even the 90% mark). It also won the very prestigious Peabody award earlier this year. One of the reasons its not more popular is because it is only shown on SCI-FI (or Space if you live in Canada). It is a rather cerebral show and is rather bold when it comes to choosing it's subject matter and also in how it handles it.

They better replicate the documentary camera style, even if only in cutscenes. It would be horrible to have fixed cameras when the TV show does the shakycam/DOF effect so well.

Correct sir. GOW seemed to copy that style quick enough, it'll be a shame if BSG don't do the same.

I wouldn't say Gears copied it from BSG, quite a lot of war movies have used that shakycam effect. The CG scenes in BSG are definitely innovative though.
