Hey guys, just downloaded and played the demo...

I actually did like it allot.....

My thoughts i had before hand were that it must be the same game with some small new additions and to be honest that's really the case....

But something is different in graw2... it feels a bit more arcady and that's not a bad thing!

The new effects look great, the mortars seem to home in on my head though! :(

They called it GRAW 2 and not Ghost Recon 4 for a reason though!

My worries are about multiplayer for now because I absolutely loved the single player in GRAW and I tried the demo of GRAW 2 too and liked what I saw and played very very much. I need a mutilplayer demo before I can make a decision because honestly I cant afford to buy everything this year, I have to be selective.

I liked it a lot, the visuals are cool and everything, some stuff needs to be added of course like the choppers windows and small stuff like that.

The only thing that was hard was that damn missile launcher, right after the chopper leaves and you get 3 new members in your party, then its hard.

My worries are like ali here, on the online part.
Better online connection, laggings, and dont freaking cut down the damn visuals from the SP to MP its dumb and unnecessary.

Other than that cool game, much like GRAW.I was hoping that the demo would be in that city were there would be tanks and such, and the air support, wanted to see all the awesome explosions.

PS the freaking demo was too short!!!!

And AWESOME music as always...I hope its Tom Salta again. I especially loved when the "To Be Continued" title came, then the music plays...I am gonna record it in soon.

I underestimated this game visually in a big way. It looks incredible.

I know I'm probably going to end up regretting this, but when does this game come out anyway?

How much time is left in development?

I love cool tactical military games, but for some reason I dont know how much I will play it online when those greater games comes out.

Loose money for a good game, or save money for the future titles?

That is my dilemma with this game right now. I pre-ordered it with Army of Two, but I canceled GRAW 2 but took Army of Two instead, because I want AoT, looks awesome.

I REALLY like how you can see from the perspective of the cypher drone. They are achieving some really impressive things on the Xbox 360.

The textures are subtle, but the overall look is even better when you factor in the blowing sand etc.

The enviromental effects are what makes it look better than GRAW, overall it's a nicer looking game, even if it's subtle. The new crosscom features are also really cool, being able to control the UAV and see through its eyes is a very appealing feature. The new vehicle seems cool, although wasn't particularly useful in the demo.

A good demo overall, and a good week or so for demos, between this and Crackdown (and Icon soon for those who are interested). I'm not really convinced that this is worth my attention yet, I'm very interested in playing the campaign but with more integrated multiplayer features/modes it would be an instant buy (as in, same gameplay and same game engine).

Seems like a rental until I see MP, but a very good one atleast. A solid demo, and if it weren't for 2007's great line up this would get a whole lot more attention all around. Would be nice if they release a multiplayer demo as well.

The artifacting as you move the MULE out of range is fantastic, I know its only a silly thing but stuff like that being done convincingly adds to the immersion.

Live Multiplayer rocked in GRAW 1 but I got so frustrated with the connection problems that I just ended up selling the game. I really hope they will work out the kinks this time.

My problem was exactly like yours. The connection kept failing, some what kicked for no reason at all in like 1 minute after you got into the room and wanted to play...etc. If Ubi fixes the online a lot more and add cool features as customization like Rainbow Six Vegas then it would be amazing.

The game looks and plays good, it's easier to switch weapons, there are more physics (tyre pilesfalling when you shoot at them...).
Yet, there's something REALLy wrong for a TPS : high grasses clipping through your character's body ! That sucks !

The graphics are better than expected, I guess it's a great improvement for the time they've had. Shadowing is a huge improvement IMO. The explosions do look really good too.

Like Optimus said, being able to use the drone it's a great plus and a nice touch.

I don't know if it was only ,e, but shooting the bad guys was a bit easier. I was shooting like crazy with an MP5 from very far and was able to shoot down guys relatively easy, or at least, easier than in the first game. So it was probably made more arcadey than the first like someone else said. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

Your friends AI and enemy AI still leave much to be desired IMO. I didn't see an improvement there at all, and that's a disappointment.

So basically, it's a nicer looking GRAW which considering how good GRAW was, and how fast they made this sequel, it's not that bad. Still, not something I plan to buy unless the campaign was something Epic and lasted for ~15 hours....

Truth! And ultimately, the problem with most squad games. It can definitly seem like, Ghost Recon Advanced Babysitter at times.

No AI improvements? That suck :( Anyway, is framerate solid?

BTW I just finished GRAW and I noticed only 3 framerate drops during entire game and there definitely was no screen tearing, so I don't understand all the bitching the game recieved for it. Or maybe some later updates had some optimisations and game initially ran very badly?

No screen tearing? I seem to remember there being atleast SOME in GRAW (hell, in almost every Ubisoft game). I also experienced a handful of graphical bugs and glitches that it seems never happened to some people, yet they're well documented on youtube. I don't accept that it's "my xbox"--everything else works fine :)

It's not as bad as Double Agent, though.

Framerate seemed mostly solid in this demo, I may have caught a single frame tearing, but that's about it.

I was very surprised by performance in GRAW1, hopefully it'll be the same in the sequel. I had one graphical and one non-graphical glitches though, so it wasn't perfect.

I get this message when I try and download the demo, "This item is currently for Xbox Live Gold members only. Silver members can check again in a few days or upgrade to an Xbox Live Gold Membership.quote"

What the heck is this?!?! I thought Xbox Live Silver membership was made so people could actually download demos, not get harassed into purchasing a gold membership!

This really pisses me off, I was really looking forward to giving this game a test run.

Oh well, I guess I can probably download it in about a week. Until then, I will have to be content with listening to you guy's experiences.

Framerate is very solid, I didn't spot any drops. I also saw no tearing in the demo.

It's been that way for some time now rainman. I would like MS to make more features for Gold subscribers rather than take away features from Silver members, but they decided on that. Live is worth it though.

Well, talk about a lousy demo.

Anyways, graphics are good, not a major improvement over GRAW, but that was to be expected.
They seem to have tightened up some of the controls which is good, the aiming sensetivity seems to be upped a bit, and selecting weapons and such is quite a bit easier indeed.

But, the AI is really incredibly stupid.
If I take out an enemy at a certain spot with my sniper, what do you think his co-enemy friends do?...they actually take over that very spot the dude I just shot was at, so I don't even have to aim anymore.
All I do is pick one enemy, what for the others to arrive in sight and take them out aswell. This is even worse than the "sitting ducks"! :|

Also, what is all this talk about the wind and smoke interacting with each other and influencing each other, Ubisoft has been on about?
If I throw a smokey right next to the chopper nothing happens, the smoke evolves just the same as it would without the presence of the chopper!

That's just lame...

Something about the main character's overall texture looks wrong to me. The colors/shaders are too samey, and too desaturated. It makes him look like an action figure and out of place.
