It was plastic since day one. Besides, Huxley is far from PDZ, it looks A LOT better than PDZ.

Besides pay for play for an 360 game is nothing for me.

This games always been a bit of a mess visually. I'm just hoping the gameplay offers up something unique and interesting. If the games good I'll play it, regardless of the mixed presentation.

The enviroment looks truely awful in that shot though.

I don't think it looks a mess at all, visually it is one of the only UE3 games that i have liked.

At least this one uses colour.

well for an MMO, it doesn't look bad. Of course not Conan good( Yup I brought it up).

Still the graphics are my least concern, it's everything else that does. I want to like this game, but after playing PlanetSide, my faith in a FPSMMO was kind of dashed. But I still won't count this game out, before I actually play it. Like I said, it could turn out good.

Connan doesn't look as good as this in my eyes, the character art and vegatation in Connan are polygonal blobs.

Connan has some nice lighting i must say.

The idea of an MMOFPS is interesting but like Heretic says i'm not sure i wana pay for it .. :P

Connan has some nice lighting i must say.
I have a feeling that this game won't have expansive, wide open areas like most MMORPG's though, so it's a little unfair to do a straight comparison of the visuals. When it comes down to art direction though, UT and Gears are much more appealing games imo, they're much more consistant (and I don't mean consistantly brown, either).

The screenshot in the original post is all I need as an example. There's almost no consistant attention to detail across the different surfaces represented in that shot, a lot of (ugly) character detail, set in a pretty bland enviroment.

I've seen it looking better though, and I'm still pretty interested in the concept. I want Webzen to do great things, they've got a lot of loaded concepts in their hands..if they can pull them off they'll have some great games.

Anyways, P2P, huh? Blah, it better be really really cheap, or really really good :P At least PS was free till you reached Rank 6, well it wasn't at first, but it now it is.

is it subscription based then? if so then screw that and screw them. i like to pick up and play. subscription games like W.O.W are like a disease.

What's this about PS being free til Rank 6? Also, PS isn't a "true MMO" imo, it's more of a 3D dungeon hack and it shouldn't have a fee at all really. It's like paying for battle.net or guildwars. Hell, Guildwars is a much bigger world even.

And Planetside's fair game, it was a really original sort of experience. I think "The Crossing" sounds like an interesting multiplayer model too.

What happened to the beautiful level design of East meets West. I was really looking forward to this game... sigh, this is Dark Sector all over again :( , except that game actually still looks good.

True, it wasn't an true MMO if you take MMO standards into account. And yea, its free to play till you reach rank 6, then you got to pay. Sony funked the game up, so that is their sort of scape goat I guess.


Also, what about HellGate London? Isn't that supposed to be like a mix of FPS and 3rd Person?

I have to agree with Joli, this game is looking good, the graphics and texture details are impressive for a MMO. Of course its all about gameplay.... but visually speaking, looking good.

Well you are seeing 5 screens, you can hardly judge the game on that (although i'm sure you will)

There are many area's we haven't seen (god i sound like Optimus) and it probably looks better running ay 720p ... *believe*
