My comments on this game/machine been good or bad does not mean i like/hate the machine i am not a fan nor a hater, just i have a opinion and wish to share it.

I hope it is a mix of RTS and FPS. Well think about it...you can only go into FPS on the heroes and when you want to see the entire map and such for orders and create stuff you basically go into RTS view and do your stuff.

But FPS is not likley because I am sure this is a RTS,
Now IF the graphics is amazing and it plays very good and looks fun I am gonna get this for one reason.

Anyone that have watched the CGI trailer for this movie were there is flying chips all over with lasers,...etc. feels like a massive Star Wars-like Halo RTS style, would be awesome, then it would be the very first RTS game I would ever own, and its freaking sci-fi.

A mix of RTS and FPS was already tried in games like Command & Conquer Renegade etc, and it never really got popular.. But who knows.. Personally I think you can better stick to a partical proven genre, and do that well, to make a succesfull game.. A game like Company of Heroes is a good example, if I was the Halo Wars team I would follow that..

You are right, but cover and shooting was already tried with Kill Switch and it never got popular.......Gears of War came out and BAM!

That's why I said who knows.. If they can get it right it's always good to come up with new types of gameplay.. But I would be very happy with a Halo Wars that's bassicly a Company of Heroes in the Halo universe..

The RTS/FPS thing has been done in other ways, the most crossed over of which seems to be the Battlezone remake and sequel for PC. BF2 also has RTS elements, while primarly being a shooter.

I imagine this will be strictly RTS, being that it's Ensemble studios. Real time combat component? It is REAL TIME strategy :P
