I'll sign, even though I don't particularly care about split screen in racing games. Seems a bit late to be getting a feature like this in though, I imagine the US/EU versions of the game are pretty close to done.

edit: Couldn't they have just used one of the many online petition sites? Making me register to their forums to sign their petition I don't care about is a pain in the ass!

They said if they did it would be a downloadable thing.

And I'm guessing this has more weight as it is on the official Sony forums rather then a site dedicated to petitions no one listens to or pays attention to. :p

There's no split screen!?!? What a gigantic cock-up! I thought the omission of split screen racing died with the tragedy that was F-Zero for SNES.

I mean the game was good, but it's almost universally moaned at for not allowing two people to duke it out side by side.

Games like Burnout 2 and Full Auto (despite having online play!) thrived in my possession thanks to having split screen, and I honestly expect any racer to have it.

Damn right less options and better gameplay...

Lately games have been very ... crap... it's about time dev's got back to the roots of single player gaming.

Well you are free to disagree, doesn't change my opinion though :)

Ok there are good games, but very very very few great games, and almost every new game is either FPS, some kind of shooter or a GTA rip off.

I know that the argument is usually used as an insult - but really, if you don't like split screen you prolly have no local friends.

Honestly, if I have mates over and we wanna race eachother, if that means we have to bring another TV, another fucking console, and another copy of the game? Let's just say I don't consider that particularly "NEXT GEN!".

Yes but you seem to forget the 2 HDMIs thats why there is no split screen due to you can hook one machine to TWO HDTV ........

Uh, I'm pretty sure the second HDMI port was cut long before the console released. Dual monitor output is a bit of a joke anyway--if you can afford to hook up your PS3 to two 1080p displays, you can afford two PS3's :P
