He doesn't quite confirm that it's going to happen, just that it's possible. Same could be said of new game modes. They even have the sense to point out (for the first time, not really mentioned in their reviews afaik) that all three game modes that are present are basically the same. Glad EGM asked him some semi-tough questions. I'm glad they brought up match making--and didn't let EPIC just place the blame squarely on Microsoft for that.

Cliffy underestimates how far the multiplayer could go with the proper love. It would/should be better than UT3 on consoles, anyway.

Ranked teams wouldnt be anything new, i duno if any of you play Warcraft 3, but it has that option and it freaking rocks.

Shane Kim inadvertently sort of confirmed the sequel on Major Nelson's last podcast. It was something along the lines of talking about making sequels when he said "more this, more Gears of War...more"

MN pulled him up on it but didn't edit it out funnily enough.

Pretty much a no brainer anyway.
