the game reminds me on an old mmorpg called legend of mir in a good way. hopefully there wont be anymore delays because i really want this game.

I'm actually a little worried about the change to MMORPG status--I would really like to know how they're going to implement that, and what the structure server side will be like. Will it be a "little MMO", creatively strung together like TDU, or something else? Doesn't adding thousands of players to the game world significantly change design concepts? You couldn't add people to Oblivion and just expect that to work. This game may have already had eight player online capabilities, but that's a lot different than "thousands."

Looks cool though.

Yup that's right kenshin. only the PC version will have those MMO features. the xbox 360 version has only the 8 player online play thing and I still dont get how that is going to work ... we'll see

i think both consoles get the mmo thing but its not really mmo. its like guild wars where the big towns are full of people but once you leave the gates you and up to 7 others in your group can quest. you wont see anymore players than that walking around the game world.

Guild Wars would actually make an interesting console game with the proper tweaks, being majorly p2p in nature anyway, the network structure could translate over pretty well. I'm suprised more people haven't copied this sort of model.

I don't necesarly mean GW as it is, just a simular model. I can actually see a context system working for GW before WoW though, I think it would handle the transition to a gamepad a bit better, personally. If they can make C&C3 work on a gamepad, I'm convinced they could do the same for a game like Guild Wars.

But I mostly mean a game like Guild Wars--the concepts and the server model seem really console friendly.

Looks like Oblivion meets WoW, much prefer Third person than First person and yea the frame rate is quite nice too.

Graphics didn't blow me away though.

Yeah I see what you mean now. I was playing GW again recently after playing a lot of WOW and it seems like there is a lot less on screen if you know what i mean. It would probably work better than WOW on a console controlller.
