Anyone had a chance to download and play it? I've been hearing mixed impressions so far, some like it say EA nailed the old C&C feel, and others say its meh. I've been to busy with school to give it a download myself :/

Have not tried this out yet. Maybe I will try in a bit. I am not confident that my PC will handle it as well as I might like. RTS isn't exactly my thing anyway, but I'm very curious.

Yeah, I'll give it some playtime when I get free time. Don't know why all my professors decide to make their shiet due all on the same week, asses...

However, I wonder if there will be a 360 demo? I think the 360 version of the final game is suppose to be released a few months after the PC version, correct? Or are they same release day?

Ye ive tried it but cant comment on how much its improved from last ive never played a C&C game since the first 2. But anyway it runs really smooth i have it on Ultra high and have 7800gtx and Amd 4400+ have to say im really suprised that it works fine with dual core shock horror being EA game. But the gameplay is superb im really enjoying it love the juggernaut with like 3 cannons on it its a beast and also the Ion Cannon is devastating huge white light and eats up everything inside comments i hear elsewhere its greatly improved. Looks pretty also and the cut scenes are cheesy but got some proper actors my friend said someone from lost in it i dont watch lost so not sure. Only thing i would like to do is been able to play as the other side but i can only choose GDi i had a look but cant seem to change so guess they blocked it shame wanted to try the nuke looked awesome on startup video.

So overall pretty impressed and cant wait to play full game. :)

Edit: Oh and there Skirmish available only 1 map and 1 campaign mission

Awesome game. I tested it a bit and it works great on my quite old system. I could max all settings and it runs great (well some slowdowns but nothing too bad) and I am only using 6600gt. Omg mammoth tanks are so awesome :D

I played the PC demo, and yes it plays pretty much the same as the old C&C's again (so if you liked those you're gonna like this one).. As a test I also did build like 80 medium tanks (filled the whole screen, LOL) in a skirmish game to see how the game would holdup on my PC and it still ran perfectly (1280x1024 with everything at max and level 1 AA).. I have a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor, 2GB memory, and a Nvidia 7900GS 256MB videocard.. This game obviously is not as powerhungry as Supreme Commander (another new PC RTS game which really requires at least a dualcore CPU to get good performance), I think any mainstream PC should be able to run C&C3 fine..

The game is very cool. It shares a lot of units and buildings that were in Tiberian Sun. That's not really a problem, because Tiberian Sun was a very good game in my opinion. I can even play this game on my laptop (medium settings) so you can say that this game has a solid engine.
