Sony used a freshly slaughtered goat to promote the company's new violent video game for its PlayStation 2 console, the Daily Mail reported.

The dead animal's still-warm corpse was used as the highlight and centerpiece during a launch party for "God of War II."

I don't agree with the "lengths to which the industry will go to exploit youngsters" part of the report, as this game is clearly adult oriented, but this is just discusting.

Jeez, that is a bit over the top, using the corpse of a dead goat.
Probably cheaper than building an artificial goat from scratch though :)

In general, i'd say the oppposite is true.

Just compare the amount of violence in a film from 1960s to one today. Or even the amount on TV.

To sensitive or not, this is not a right way to promote a game or anything else.....
There are many people that are against this, so that way it will become a very bad publicity...
