* It's a new IP! Not many games can say that. It's also boasting a great, cinematic story.
* There is no HUD -- that is, a health bar or ammo count. No little menus on the screen to distract you from looking at the actual game. From the press release: "As the character takes damage he will begin to physically show it, ammunition levels will be displayed on guns, available weapons and inventory will be displayed on the character – all serving to keep the player focused on the character and the gameplay." We personally think this is a great move.
* The controls are guaranteed to be simple and intuitive so you can master any skills fairly easily. If you tried to play Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes on the GameCube, you know how pesky an awkward controller setup can be.
* The camera, as previously mentioned, is over-the-shoulder so you can not only make better movements, but will be "showing full visual of Hayden allowing for the player to make a connection with the character." A connection? Right.
* Upgradeable weapons, stupendous AI, and a main character slightly reminiscent of Kratos in so much that he's cold-blooded and ruthless, gives no excuse for his actions, but as the story progresses, we start to understand him and see how the events of the game change him. Or something.
What's more, below, we've got a gallery of screenshots for you to check out. They're magically delicious and want your attention. We'll keep updating you on this game until it arrives early in 2008. Hopefully, Digital Extremes will have the foresight to give people a demo to play over the PSN before then!

Obviouslt these are from PS3, but it doesn't make any difference hence that its gonna be the same on the 360.
First ever image to show Hayden using some sort of a dark cusotmized (think of Devil May Cry) Raging Bull type weapon :D
Update - Believe it or not which I can't even do, there is actually gonna be a Dark Sector Comic book from Top Cow (same ones who do The Darkness)
The comic book is a prequal of the actual game were they say everything about Lasria and why and how this Lotus Complex (secret facility) started and such.
Its gonna be soooo awesome!

Game looks kinda tedious when you are tossing it. I mean I don't think the throwing of that is something they should've attempted to put skill into. It should be able to automatically target something and then it should do all sorts of fancy stuff as it makes its way to the target.
Would also be cool if he could do it from cover. It would obviously kill the weaker enemies like they were nothing, but the tougher enemies clearly wouldn't die instantly from it.
This game is a great example of how a game's graphics don't get properly shown off in screens. It looks so much better in motion.

Don't ask any questions just shut up and buy Halo : Ghosts of the Onyx one of the greatest books ever.
You are pretty much aiming and then pushing the putton to throw it away and then you do other sutff while it returns..."if now it returns".
I think they should keep working what they are doing right now.
I didn't know it had very cool "fantasy"-like patterns on some of the weapons.
I can't wait to see how that revolver is gonna be used in the game, meaning animation and sound.
Gonna be awesome.

I think they messed up by essentially giving that Glaive thing gun like mechanics when it should seem a bit more special than it is currently. It doesn't matter if its easy to kill enemies with it because you can kill normal ones in like one hit anyway with the current mechanics so why not make it lock on? I think they would have more creative freedom if they made it lock on. Make it do some cool stuff as it makes its way to an enemy or as its coming back to you. Put some style into it. The way it is now its like a more powerful gun that can kill certain enemies in a single hit that looks like a special blade that comes out of his mutated arm. Such a weapon should be more than toss straight then come back to you. It should be tossed and have a random or fancier type of movement when making its way to the enemy and just destroy them.
Shooting is fine as is I suppose, but I don't like the tossing of the Glaive currently.

"you should be honored by my lateness
that i would even show up to this fake sh*t"
But about the game. I think im gonna keep my eyes away from anything about this game until nearer the time its out. Hopefully by then I can be a bit more excited about it. Its just right now there are so many other games which need priority.
If any more appear soon it's going to be classed as spamming and it's lockety, lock, lock plus ban.
as you were.

COD 4's pre-alpha stage looks better than most game's gone gold stage.
Saying you cant find animaton in Japan is like saying you cant find food in Italy. Its simply not true.
I don't know if it will sell a lot or not, but a good idea that they are gonna do this.

I have no idea how the final art will look like, I hope they go digital drawing, that would be awesome, my favorite style in comic images.
Its a prequal so I guess I have to get, if it is available for me to get :D
