Section 8 is a large-scale, futuristic first person shooter that brings strategy and tactics to the first-person shooter genre in a game where players can modify the battlefield on the fly.

The game's name refers to the super elite squad of powered armor infantry that serve as the focus of the single-player content. The squad’s nickname is because of its penchant for taking on suicide missions that no one else will tackle.

It does not look like Halo at all...why because its a sci-fi FPS?
You do know that Halo didnt create sci-fi FPS right?

Halo is one universe, Section 8 is another, no need to compare.

That is so halo like, but Spartans aren't the only group that take on such missions. =P

Very very interested in this game awesome art from the looks of it. Wow that video looks so amazing. I hope this game is good! I really love the art and the style. The suits like crazy.

Sath look and you and anyone will see that the first thing that comes to mind is HALO!! the look of the troops to the way they are flying down to earth... now does this mean its not going to be a great game and completly different than Halo? of course not, i'm just stateing the first thing that popped in my mind when first looking at this game.

Yea it was the first thing that popped into my head as well, but especially for the take on suicide missions nobody else will tackle line. I heard that quite a bit in Ghosts of the Onyx.

But as I said Spartans aren't the only group ever known to take on suicide missions.

And no, the only thing that came in my head was actually StarCraft because of the heavy looking armor, Halo wasen't even my 10th image in my head.

You guys are just thinking too much of Halo thats why every FPS that has sci-fi to it, you go all "HAlo anyone?"

No its not Halo. Halo is something else...hell I even wish Halo didnt excist so people just could stop comparing every sci-fi FPS out there to Halo.

People compare too much that doesnt make any sense, from genre to even armor :S.

I don't want to drag this on...but Section 8 was nothing to say but its cool, good concept, that is all, nothing more and nothing less really.
