We're due to take our first look at Creative Assembly's Viking bruiser at Leipzig tomorrow - so look for much, much more including the first bloody screenshots shortly.

graphics arent exactly phenomenal but given the amount of people on screen, it's understandable. I have to see a video of the combat to make up my mind!

Some of the ground textures are a little iffy, but I think the character models are pretty darn good.

Besides, there's always room for vikings! I mean, Pirates vs. Ninjas? Fuck that....VIKINGS vs. Ninjas makes a lot more sense. How can anyone think the phrase "shiver me timbers" is cool?

Well these kind of games are the games we have to see in gameplay, meaning combat.

Remember Ninety-Nine Nights? Too Human?

Well you guys might know what I am talking about, were screenshots, concepts are good in these type of games but they usually play bad.

I'd much rather it play if it plays how that new Conan game looks like it plays than how Ninety-Nine Nights does.

If you're fighting huge groups of enemies, then I'll definitely pass.

wow the game looks very interesting from the screenshots. it really caught my attention. Its based on norse mythology aswell....hmm it was only announced recently and will be out b4 too human(what a big shame). Hope this game does well so more games like that can be created. reminds me alot of "RUNE"

Imagine if you took God of War's Kratos, stuck him into a massive, free-roaming world, sprinkled some Kameo-style epic battles and made him a bit hairier for good measure. That's basically what The Creative Assembly's epic new action game, Viking: Battle for Asgard is like.
