GT5 looks loads better.
Loads better? Car exteriors look slightly better, but everything else looks better in PGR4. That said, GT5 has a lot of other things going for it, like double the clip and the fact that it's a sim racer w/ 16 cars per race.. different strokes.

Car interior looks better in GT5, granted i haven't seen PGR4's interiors but if they are similar to or the same as PGR3 then GT5 wins there also.

I wouldn't say GT5 is a sim racer, i have always found it to be quite arcadey.

I agree with you, again, it's too hard to come up with a winner just like that....for me at least.

Uh? PGR4's bikes look loads better than GT5's bikes.....granted, I haven't seen GT5's bikes. Also, PGR4's Ariel Atom looks TONS better than GT5's.......but again, I haven't seen it yet, but it just does you know.

Geometry Wars returning in Project Gotham Racing 4

Speaking to Pro-G at the Leipzig Games Convention, Bizarre Creations has revealed that a new Geometry Wars game will be featured in October's Project Gotham Racing 4. Dubbed "Geometry Wars: Waves," the shape shooter will be an exclusive Project Gotham bonus and unlike Retro Evolved, won't be sold on Xbox Live Arcade. That makes for an excellent bonus for racing fans, but a $60 investment for those just hoping to exact revenge on the sneaky green square.

Not to worry though, as Bizarre also stated that Waves is based on Retro Evolved and not a "true" sequel as such. Alternatively, you can be sucked in by the gravity wells of Geometry Wars: Galaxies, out this Fall on DS and Wii

Hey good to know that, not a big addition, but anything they add is good. So October is confirmed right?

Wow anm8rjp, that's some great reporting you did there. Surely, it is your original work and no plagiarism at all.

I think the exteriors look more than just slightly better and the lighting kills PGR4's from what I can tell so far. The interiors are just fantastic of course.

I think PGR4 looks better overall, Cars looks slightly better in GT5 and has 16 vs 8 carson the track at double the framerate. The backgrounds in PGR4 look MILES and i repeat MILES better than those in GT5 and it has a decent attempt at car damage and lots of weather effects.

In car also looks better in the PGR3 than GT5 as it has real working mirrors, non static cam and you can also see the windscreen which has realtime reflections and accumulates dirt over time.

I suppose it comes down to wether you plan to spend more time watching the cars in replays or watching the scenery while driving in the game?

Maybe I missed them, but do we have any direct feed of PGR4 interiors? Also, GT5 is missing the entire inertia deal to the internal cameras--the best part of PGR3 interiors.

As for lighting... maybe it is because we see so much weather in PGR4, but the lighting is substantial. Watch the video in motion below:

http://www.gamersyde.com/leech_4042_1_en.html

Considering the overcast nature of the video it isn't overly washed out, and the lighting (specifically lightning) is amazing. Hundreds of rain drops reflecting light isn't a simple chore at those IQ levels.

The fans have spoken. Concerning the graphics of the Halo 3 Beta: "There's so many little effects and things going on that make this game pretty much 2nd only to Gears at the moment."

GT5's interiors really suffer from the super low resolution reflections in the mirrors. Those stick out quite a bit. I won't deny it's a beautiful game in its own right.. and hey when I pick up a logitech wheel I probably won't have to have it refitted for being a fire hazard :)
