Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!
I think they just need a better lighting engine, dynamic shadows, and add in self-shadows to NG2.
Ultimately I just take these vids for what they truly are just an indication of what the game looks like since when it touches my HDTV that bad boy will really blossom :)
Hironobu Sakaguchi is coming back to reclaim the throne :)

What i was expecting from ninja gaden2 Isnt what im seeing now. I totally had something else in mind. Given the power of the new hardware in comparison to the old one (512mb unified ram in comparison to 64mb ram), i was expecting some thing totally different and didnt quite animate like sigma. Fact is you cannot just look at it and immediately identify it as ninja gaiden 2. In most cases it can be mistaken for sigma, unless looked at for a couple of seconds to analyse the enemies and environments.
I cant really complain how the game is shaping up, It seems to me they have modified the existing engine to accomodate higher res textures and scaled the frame-rates in accordance. This will lead to a very solid title building upon the success of the First, but it wont set another bar in this genre.

Good think that I can enjoy games just fine no matter how bad graphics look (not saying this looks bad).
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2
Give a guy a gun, he thinks he´s Superman. Give him two and he thinks he´s God!
And really, did anyone expect it to look as good as (let's say) Heavenly Sword, which runs at half (or less) the framerate?
I don't understand why DMC4 threads don't see all these complaints, the graphics really aren't better in that game. Maybe it has something to do with expectations.
The combat itself is still the king among games. It looks ridiculously good and IMO it's more fun to watch than action movies. I love the uberfast pacing and all the stuff going on, blood fountains, limbs flying around, weapon traces and most importantly character animations.
"That just happened 'cause that was awesome" - Randy Pitchford, Gearbox
"That just happened 'cause that was awesome" - Randy Pitchford, Gearbox
-Sheer amount of shit going on onscreen can be nuts, and no hits to framerates (were talking limbs, blood, rockets, tons of enemies, orbs)
-The game is harder (o shit!) and many there are far fewer giant bosses at least scene so far, instead you fight giant boss type enemies 3-8 at a time, as if theyre normal minions
-You can't get the idea of how amazing the new lighting system is until you see it on a screen before you
-New York city style level looks great, it rains, and Milky says he swore he could see each individual raindrop (add that to all the other shit flying around with no frame hit)
-Enemy AI can be very good
Seriously though, as long as the game is still kickass, and looks "13 times more kickass" (1upshow), and the action is fast paced (way faster that NG for xbox) I'll be happy. Unfortunately looks like I'll be having to suffer in Ninja Dog mode once again for a while.

Let's not talk about the awesome gameplay and huge enemys and this is where it's at for me. It will again be insanely hard to play through, but this is one of the defining features of NG for me. If enemys were pushovers, why the hell are they there in the first place?
