Still so.......far away...
But really, one of my favourite franchises now, Kazama Kiryu is the biggest new badass to come along in like a bizillion years, regardless which time period he's in. Yakuza 2 is one of the big ones of 2008 for me.
I kept running to the places where it is highlighted and talked to whoever had the arrow above his head.
No voice, no music...nothing...I got bored and deleted it.
Instead of putting up this game, give us DMC4 demo :(

If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh.
If you're not down with Disturbed, then FU! Thanks.

I did watch the combat video here on the site, repetive.
I did fight some bullies though on the other demo.
I did one of those grab moves and then dragged them to a lamp of some sort and the pressed a button and interact with it.
He basically slammed his face into the lamp two time, that as cool.
The fact that there is no voice or music in the background while just running around and such is boring.
That is one of the things that made Folklore boring, to keep reading and pressing to skip all the long ass dialogue.
Like I said, not my type of game.

Marumaro for the WIN !!
Although I am not gonna buy this game at all as I mentioned, I do wish you are right for those who are gonna buy it.
No dialogue with text only and keep pressing the button to skip the mini-wallof text is just ignoring.
KORNDog
I know what you mean, in the CG they had voices. But you gotta remember that they wanted Folklore to have that novel type of thing were you gotta read and just watch with some music to go with it.
It was a bit stupid not to include SFX or dialogue to spice up those things.

One thing I found is that this demo is pretty unplayable if you don't speak Japanese.
Marumaro for the WIN !!
joking aside the videos look cool. Didn't really give the previous games a chance, but I'll be sure to give this one a go. Hopefully the US dub doesn't take too long.

Street Fighter 4... Believe.
Marumaro for the WIN !!
This is one of those moments where people will whine about the most insignifacant of thing. (I could understand if you couldn't read but obviously you can)
Yukuza 3 will be pretty much the same as Yukuza 1/2 expect with better graphics.
Marumaro for the WIN !!

It's made by Spikeout people and it's Spikeout woven into a hub world ala Final Fantasy 7 or whatever. You get random encounters but instead of the normal turn based/realtime RPG fare you get thrown into Spikeout, with an experience system and gaining new special moves just like a normal jRPG.
Instead of racing Chocobos or play floaty.. er.. water.. something.. you visit "hostesses" and play other mini games. There is absolutely no connection to Shenmue, and no people who ever worked on Shenmue has gone anywhere near this game.
Shenmue was an adventure game attempting *all genres* hence its "F.R.E.E." moniker (full reactive eyes entertainment, I can't believe I even memorised that :P) and none of its separate components were anywhere near as sharp as the fighting in Yakuza. That is because Yakuza IS a fighting game with RPG elements and very little else.
