Good thing I am thinking of picking up inFamous, game looks pretty cool, hopefully the demo will make it a 100% decision for me.

Ugh. I might have to get this game now. I'm a sucker for this sort of thing. Prototype really looks like the better game though.

Prototype looks like a mess at times, too much shit going on with no restrictions to make it look organized and sleek for the eyes. It's like they added "everything" they thought was "cool" and called it a day without thinking of the side effects in motion.

In my opinion, inFamous seems to have a bit more polished and organized gameplay and thought out gameplay.

But whatever, between the two, inFamous for me is better because it looks like Sucker Punch knew what they wanted for gameplay and it looks organized and sleek to look at.

And the idea of good and evil sides and how the world treat you, and each side plus its ranks have different feel and look for its powers and how they are used is enough for me to lean towards inFamous.

RE5 was good with co-op (only played the demo), but VERSUS was bad because of the gameplay design RE5 has which is stop and shoot, stop and reload...etc.

But Uncharted is different, its a faster paced of Gears of War and mix some Lost Planet in there, it could work.

Even though I am not sure if I am gonna buy U2 or not, but for those who are looking forward to it, just wait and see how it happens.

It's like Ninja Gaiden, its a single player experience, but now with NGS2 online co-op it can work if they have a good team and design structure for the mode.

I say, wait and see how the mode turns out before saying it doesn't work, Alimo.

I am not taling about the actual Multiplayer modes... I mean designing a game of this genre so that it can accomodate MP is going to ruin the SP experience.

What you said about RE5 Co-Op is EXACTLY my point. The game plays incredibly well in COOP but as a consequence playing it in single player is badly designed because the game was designed around co-op. simple as that.

We still don't know if it's going to ruin Single player. As long they don't force co-op on us all good.

I loved Uncharted... And it's Naughty Dog, so i'm not scared yet they will ruin it.

As Sath said, let's wait and see.

As for inFAMOUS i was keeping an eye on it, the game is looking nice, but with this might make me buy it. Win win :)

With this offer, for those into buying inFAMOUS or not, you can bet it will sell alot with Uncharted 2 bonus stuff.

I would like to say something about the music for this game.
I downloaded the free Qore with inFAMOUS music in it, and I all I can say is, I REALLY like it, well, 4 tracks from it.
Amon Tobin, James Dooley and two others are doing the music for inFAMOUS, but 2 tracks from the game sounds so damn similair to The Dark Knight music, especially the intro music for the movie.

I hope they release a official OST for the game with more tracks like those, I already got my favorite ones from Qore.
There is 6 tracks, but I got 4 from it which I liked, one of them is the "main theme" for inFAMOUS.

Uncharted IS a shooter though, it always was. I could see multiplayer working with the mechanics of Uncharted 1.

I'm gonna be a wildcard here and say I think it might actually be a lot of fun in multiplayer. One that I would really consider spending time with.

We already know additions to the single player game include more platforming elements, so they're clearly not shifting focus away from that part of it, I don't really see a need to worry.

However, this flogging of Infamous copies by the way of Uncharted multiplayer stuff strikes me as a lack of confidence in its ability to sell itself. How do you really tell if a product resonates with an audience if it's riding on something with already established popularity? It was unfair to Crackdown and it's unfair here. Ironic since it's not exactly the only thing Infamous and Realtime Worlds' cartoony city hopping have in common.

I suppose it sells copies though in the end, and that's probably always a cool thing for Sucker Punch. I just dread to think what it means for its long term series chances. Will Sony even be able to tell if it warrants one?

uncharted has the potential to create a VERY unique MP experience if done right, and done well (something i'm confident ND are capable of) imagine a third person cover based shooter akin to gears, but with platforming and traversal based gunplay as well. it could be AMAZING.

as for whether MP hurts single player games...i really dont think that's the case. sure, if a dev puts too much emphesis on MP you have a halo 2/3 situation, where you have an average SP with a great MP. but then to counterargue that point you could bring up something like MGS4. a game that's single player is just as good if not better then past games, despite it having a MP.

seeing as ND have said they are making U2's SP bigger, better and more varied, i really dont think it's going to take a hit due to multiplayer. if anything i think it's just going to increase replayability, and evolve the franchise into a bigger more well rounded, value for money package....and i cant wait. LOVED the first one, and i cant wait fo the sequel.

KORN, add "Uncharted 2" in the thread title so we know its about Uncharted 2 as well.

Anyway, MP screens of U2
-Multiplayer co-op for 3 players. Different story than single player. Zones/actions in the map requiered for 2/3 players. Mini bosses in each section. Players will revive after a few seconds (lees if the other players helkp to revive)

-Deathmatch. 4vs4 you can choose two skills. And you need to explore like in Uncharted 1 to find the strongest weapons.

-Capture the treasure, is like CTF. 4vs4 trying to steal treasures from the enemy base.

More screens

Looks cool, I hope EU of inFAMOUS comes with a beta code, if not, PSN or beta giveaway would be neat.
I am stillnot 100 on inFAMOUS, but if I do get it, why not a nice bonus to go along with it :)

As long as there are jungle related maps and not all in towns/villages due to i would prefer a more colourfull muliplayer experience rather than the dullnes of say gears and killzone
That first screenshot there though does not fill one with hope.

how much colour do you want exactly? lol.... uncharted 2, even in it's urban settings like the image above, looks more colourfull then most games out there now. any more colourfull and it would be almost florescent.

but to ease your worry, they've already confirmed the game will have jungle environments, ice/snow, urban. it's basically a lot more varied then the first one was.

I want to see the snow/ice environment, they said they were gonna make the best snow effects in any game for Uncharted 2.

But the MP looked good to be honest, hopefully its not clunky when you actually play it.

EU will get into the beta as well, they will announce a bit later on how to get into it.

Looks boss. But I have to admit, the aiming while manageable for the AI was still a struggle. Not sure how that'd translate to MP well in all honesty. But I'm excited to play it myself.

From IGN preview
You're going to be able to save entire multiplayer matches to your hard drive and then edit them and view them in Cinema Mode. Rotating the camera at will and zooming in on specific fights will be just some of the commands you have for the ten cinema save slots at your fingertips. Naughty Dog didn't show the mode, but it definitely sounds interesting.

I liked the vibe that the MP trailer is giving, not as graphically impressive as the earlier off-screen footage lead me to believe but it looks like it could play very differently than most MP out there and that has peaked my interest.

finally another game that uses something like halo 3's theatre mode. and with graphics like uncharted 2 it's gonna be awesome. uncharted is shaping up to be a damn find game, and a damn fine franchise as a whole. cant wait. wouldnt be surprised if it was my GOTY. uncharted was so close to being mine in 07, but mass effect just beat it.

I downloaded the inFAMOUS/U2 collaberation trailer from PSN Store and it had a bit of new inFAMOUS gameplay footage, and I gotta say inFAMOUS is shaping up really good.

Wow the fluidness from one move to another is impressive, so smooth and natural.
I can imagine some very neat combos that looks very scripted.

This trailer raised my interest to 90 % for sure.

they really do know how to make infamous trailers. perfect combo of editing, music and just plain bad-ass-ery.

i'm really looking forward to this game. not as much as uncharted 2, but it's definately one of the big titles this year that i'm looking forward to playing. the city just looks really fun to explore. and if the shards are as fun and usefull to collect as agility orbs in crackdown, then i'm sure i'm going to be playing this for a decent amount of time.

I wish they could use epic trailer music like the movie industry uses for movies like Wolverine, Spider-Man, X-Men...etc.
This is suppose to be a comic book like superhero game, so why not add those type of music to make the character and the powers actually seem badass and epic.

If this game supports custom music (which I highly doubt it) I will definitely use my own playlist and use tracks like that.
