I honestly thought talk of better SDK's for Kinect was some pseudo PR stunt to combat initial reactions to the somewhat wonky launch (from a games accuracy standpoint) but holy cow.

I think it's time to Kinect ready my gaming space, get that telly mounted on the wall and stuff.

Looks so awesome. I've been excited since the videos first premiere! I'm glad to see it has progressed like this.

Yeah the pedigree behind the actual game is staggering. Tetsuya Mizuguchi is one of my big idols in gaming, having produced and directed some of my favourite stuff, period, like Sega Rally, Space Channel 5, Rez and Lumines.

I was completely blown away when this first showed up at Ubi's press conference when Kinect had been properly unveiled, but the lag dampened the excitement shortly thereafter. Since then I've secretly HOPED that it'd come back like this and prove to be working, but it seemed increasingly unlikely for each successive Giant Bomb quick look of a Kinect game.

This clearly works beautifully though, and getting to properly engage yourself with this game will make it a significant new stride beyond what Rez was attempting - a meaningful update, not just a visual upgrade. That's really exciting. Especially with music based games there's a huge difference in being able to stand up and spread your arms and stuff, it's why DJ Hero becomes a completely different game when you prop the turntable up on a stand and you can move around properly to it.

Well it's the sequel to Rez in everything but the name, and Rez was already Panzer Dragoon lite, so it's not that strange of an association.
