Awesome.

I have faith in that this would come to consoles.

Well the game is a DX9.0 title so they will not have any problem porting it to the Xbox 360 with lower resolutions ...etc

720p is a given to run on consoles, anything more would burn them :)

But is ok, graphics are not everything and i am sure will at least look great

The Witcher 2 includes support for DX11 and is sporting some awesome tessellation--not that porting down to the Xbox would offer much of a challenge anyway.

I mean, seriously.. if Crytek and DICE can do it I don't think anyone else has an excuse.

I'd hope they at least do a better job then crytech. by all means make the game look the best it can on consoles. but i hope they don't do it at the expensive of framerate, resolution, AI, LOD and pop-in.

Pretty much sums up 99% of console development.

If it bothers you that much play on PC then.

Talking about what Crytek did on Crysis 2.

I don't see the point in playing in consoles if you care too much about that and ruins your experience, I honestly haven't found one single thing you listed there, maybe there were but I didn't noticed them, why? cause Im not searching with a microscope for them.

Framerate is smooth too, I don't get those saying it gets unplayable and shit, even on intense fights where is multiple things on screen like smoke, particles flying everywhere, intense lighting casting doesn't drop framerate as far as I can tell, and its very smooth and playable.

Well, you cant do much with 5 years old hardware

Still Crysis 2 looks mindblowing on my 360 and that is the only thing that really matters

Also Crysis 2 plays fine on 360, it does drop here and there but is rather rare

If you have a mid-range video card like the HD 5770 or 6850 you can run Crysis 2 with great performance and stable frame rates you will get 30-45fps at least same thing will happen with the witcher 2

Indeed, both Crysis 2 and Withcer 2 engines are made with consoles mind so are super optimized

Afterall Crysis 2 on 360 looking like that would have been impossible if the engine was not as optimized as it gets

Same for Witcher 2 that uses streaming unlike Withcer 1 loading everything in ram

just because YOU can't see the blatant issues, doesn't mean they aren't there (and no, i dont need a microscope to see them, just my eyes). and yes, it's massively annoying to play with the problems the game has, some of which would go away on PC, others not (the ridiculously retarded AI) but to simply say "play it on PC" isn't exactly a good argument to take. i don't have a PC capable of playing it, i don't WANT a PC capable of playing it, and the GAME itself simply isn't good enough to want to upgrade my PC anyway.

crytech have put visuals before things that actually MATTER. like performance, and AI, and quality control. it's great what they've achieved on consoles at first glance, i just wish they did it without sacrificing SO much. clearly you're fine with ignoring the problems, I'm not.

I am sure if the problems were so severe, most reviews would be far lower on consoles and yet they are not

Have you tried installing the game ?

What sacrificing man?

Because sure as hell I can notice shitty framerate and this game doesn't have shitty framerate at all, I tought it would be like LoS but that was not the case at all, smooth as hell on this end.

I said and I stand by that, I had zero so called awfull frame drops with my 360 game installed(dont know if that makes a diference) I had zero tearing, I had not seen blatantly obvious as you call pop in, the AI in my game does what the AI in games are suposed to do, I had zero bugs.

I guess Im lucky then, and as far as I can say Crytek did a fantastic job with console versions, Resolution aside because it indeed looks better than all games out there including PS3 exclusives IMO.

Witcher 2 was built for PC and would be ported down to consoles. Crysis 2 was built for consoles and ported to PC sadly, hence the 1/2 size textures of crysis 1. Big difference.

Actually Witcher 2, as developers said, is made for consoles from day one, they even said the interface is ready for consoles and the engine is already running on consoles as well and is made for low ram hardware

Same case as Crysis 2

That is also why Withcer 2 areas seem a bit like coriddors, very linear and narrow most of the time as you will see in any in game pics/video
