Just incase you didn't catch the end of the title of the thread, this is set up to discuss the END of Crysis 2.

Okay, so my main query about the ending which really threw me off was our protagonist announcing he was Prophet once more, in Prophet's voice. Was there something I missed in the ending cutscene that I need to watch again?

As far as I understand he is "in" the suit or at least a memory of him, but this memory is like an AI and refers to you as a dead man. So, my question is, is it Prophet in the NSv2 in your opinion?

Alcatraz was dying from the Ceph attack (or died), so Prophet used his body to let the nanosuit "carry him" to do the actions. The nanosuit 2.0 had enough DNA from Prophet and memories...etc. so Prophet was a part of the suit thats why you could see some scenes were his face showed up in a digital shape saying stuff like "get up marine, we arent done yet!"...etc.
And another reason why Alcatraz never talked.

I dont know, thats the impression I got from it.

Do you reckon that Alcatraz is dead then and Prophet is using his body? Man that'd be messed up but perhaps more likely (and less messed up) than the suit using Prophets DNA to remake him inside the suit using Alcatraz's body bits.

It does say though that the suit is biomechanical and has its roots in Ceph design and tech and they were able to manufacture a virus which melted people down for use in other biomechanical units such as the dropship so perhaps it is now Prophet back in the suit?

Some people are saying that its like Halo.

Alcatraz is, well Alcatraz and Prophet is the digital AI, like say EDI from Mass Effect 2 or Cortana from Halo.
The reason why Alcatraz can't talk can be for 2 reasons.

1. He is dead
2. Or he lost his voice during the attack so he can't speak anymore but he is alive but super weak and only thing keeping him moving is the suit.

In the end were Rasch is trying to get a signal through the suit and asking who "you" are I am guessing Prophet (the suit) is the one talking.

Even when Gould and Alcatraz went to infiltrate one of the buildings were it had the suitchair the nurse or whatever, said how much Alcatraz was physically damaged, that he should be dead.
Or during the gameplay/cutscenes you were on the ground and the game says press a button to use a defilibrator.

IMO, Alcatraz is dead, the suit is controlling him and using his body as a host while Prophet is the digital AI inside the suit.
I think, Alcatraz DNA and Prophet's DNA is in the suit, thats why Prophet kept saying stuff like "get up marine, we aren't finished yet"...etc.

It can be various stuff, the suit is a symbiote, like Venom from Spiderman.

I agree, The suit technician also says that the suit is growing into his wounds and that he wouldn't survive without it.

Do you think that Alcatraz is physically dead but alive on a mental level? Like Prophet?

I think Alcatraz himself died completely at the end, and Prophets soul/memories/personality has taken control. I think Prophet was essentially downloaded into the "deep layers", and with Alcatraz gone, and the suit basically melded with the body, Prophet has been, in effect, resurrected. Personally I think thats the most interesting element in the story. I'd love to get a Prophet story of what happened in the first. It feels like it's really ramping up to be something cool in the future...
