I have read that you only get to play with 8 players on xbox live for Call of duty 2...what is that? I think the maps should hold at least 12 or 16...8 is just too little for a game like call of duty 2. IS there any chance they will expand on this number in the future? Or is that pretty much the set number of players that can play on xbox live...I sure hope they increase it to 16 or so if they can.

It's officially 8 players, it also says so on the box. But you can play 16 players too, with a good connection. Some weeks ago they said 32 players was supported too, but I've only seen 16 players in the new reviews (except for one, but I don't think it's that reliable).

So, 16 players minimum. With some luck, 32 players.

shoot, we had 64 in the original CoD (PC version)

I wonder what the limit is for the PC version of CoD2

It really depends on the size of the maps. 4 on 4 Halo 2 matches are pretty fun. We can always cross our fingers they patch it later.

I'm partially glad it's a small number. In most FPS' I actually prefer game sizes to be 8-12 and not 16-20+. More numbers is fun sometimes, but the smaller the number the more visible individual skill is I think.

But then again, I'm also a bit mad it's only 8 :O

But they said that 360 will be able to connect with the original xbox and system links will be availiable...! I know one thing...i'll take a coop match over a deathmatch ....well, free for all will be well worth an 8..!
