Wow...definately wasn't expecting this. I mean, I knew the game wasn't going to be revolutionary but damn. From what I saw before the game got reviewed looked pretty cool..but I guess when you actually play the game, theres lots of problems.

Anyways, heres the linkage: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/quake4/review.html?sid=6140243

Unfortunately, this seems to be popular opinion, even for multiplayer.
A lot of people were saying Q4 MP would be the UT2004 killer... it hasn't happened.
(Online numbers are a mere fraction of what UT2004 is, or ever was)

It's unfortunate because, as much as I didn't think it would ever happen, UT2004 has become a bit stale in my eyes, despite being one of my all time favorite games (but I still consider it an incredible game).

If Quake4 cannot initiate some change in the franchise, which was sorely needed, then I will look elsewhere.

PDZ multi for me!!

Graphics aren't as good as PC apparantly and gameplay looks nothing special either. IGN gave it 8.1 I think.

yeah, it sounds like if your not sick of Q3A, then this game is a welcome boost graphically, as well as with some 'slight' gameplay changes, and should be worthy of a higher score.

IGN's 8.1 or something more in the 7 range would be better, IMO.

HOWEVER, the graphical problems in the 360 version seem to be the major problem.

somehow half the sites say it's good and mention no slowdown and the other half that it sucks due to slowdowns. which is quite weird.

I've always been an FPS fan, ever since the days of doom, quake and wolvenstein. But after quake 2 i didn't really like what they did to the series. Quake 1 was excellent, quake 2 was one of the best multiplayer games i've ever played (man i still remember doing lithium ctf and railguns only with that game mmmmmmm)

I just didn't like what they did to the franchise with quake 3... and seeing that quake 4 is singleplayer quake 2 extended (wich is good, but quake 2 multiplayer rocked :D) and multiplayer is an "next-gen" quake 3; i don't really like the game...

What's that other "Quake Wars" game all about?

I'm very interested in that, but I'm not sure it's coming to the 360.

I'd have to agree. Graphically the game was ok (except for the horrible outside environments [Shudders]) The game was a totall bore and the story line (if there was one) was dry as a bone. Don't get this game for either platform.

I might be the only one who think it was a good game on PC. I beat it a while ago.
