man have you been smoking pod or something? if you think this is last generation your out of your mind!! In a couple of screens it even looked like a real race man almost couldn't find the difference.

this isn't exactly what i call superbly lookin man... look at the textures of the surroundings: Road and background it's still got that "plastic" look on it.. maybe i'm just mistaken and it's good in motion but i'm not impressed yet....

ok firewire the picture yoy showed has been shrinked and doesn't look good i agree but DAMN look at the other screens man if your not impressed by this something is really wrong with you man then show us a screen that really looks next-gen too you

ehm to be honest i don't think any of those screens look next gen but before we go to the discussion what is next gen i'll explain that the only 2 games so far wich look unbelievable IMO are Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 2007 BUT i know that games like these always look WAY better in motion... same goes with PGR3 some screens were just plain ugly while in motion the game is lookin superb (i've been playing it since i got my 360 so i know what i'm talking about)

Notice on the 4th picture on the top where there is an arch... where are the shadows from the world? Look at the riders and how the shadows cast slightly to the left... so the wall on the right should cast a shadow to the left as well.

The riders look nice. They look more detailed and have high quality normal maps and cleaner textures. It is the world that is missing detail--and not only shadowing. The 4th to last pic with trees shows how they are using 4 sides trees. On the 2nd pic in the middle row you can see a 2D tree When you race you see less of the rider detail but more get an impression from the detail of the world (density of detail and the detail of individual objects) I think this could be a problem. Obviously for a game like this you want SPEED and great framerates--then a ton of nice looking stuff that just blows by in a blur. Hopefully the obtain this.

Edit: the bottom is real right? the motion blurr of the tire rims are giving it away.

If you're comparing the two, one should say it needs more motion blur

;)

Though I know a lot of fans of the game hate that blur effect from the previous 3 games....maybe they'll add a subtle blur like in PGR3?
