two new vids of BF2 MC... one of them is VERY impressive

the vids show one snowy mission as the EU, and the other is a beach invasion as China..
both are Singleplayer vids...

its an EU mission as a sniper, then flying a helicopter in some mountain base... nice

I've never played this game for the pc well i've never played modern combat for the pc I've played the regular battlefield 2 now is the game as crazy as what we are seeing in these videos?

I mean like in terms of graphics and the action going on is the pc version equal?

This isn't a 360 better than pc rant I'd just like to know if the pc version is like what we are seeing in the vids in terms of graphics and all the stuff going on. (i'm not expecting TOO much from the get go as this is a port.

The vids look pretty good actually, but i still don't like the hot swap option. Swapping soldiers in combat is pretty lame IMO and it takes out the immersion of u "being" a soldier in a grand war/conflict....
Graphics are quite impressive but i still got the feeling the pc version looks better...

Also kinda strange that the weapon he is using (SA-80/L85A1) has got 45 rounds per magazine.... (i luv nitpicking on weapons :D)
Also the m-60 seems extremely accurate, also not very realistic...

Anyone see the lighting on the gun at about 31or 32 seconds from the explosions taking place? Thats pretty nice, but as I've never seen the pc version of this game its probably in the pc version.

Keep in mind firewire the game will be alot more beautiful running on your 360 than what you are seeing in these videos as it does when running on your pc i'm sure. Videos do their job of giving us an indication of what to expect, but still are HIGHLY lacking in delivering the proper experience these games are meant to deliver.

Eh? There is no "Modern Combat" for PC.."MC" is the console version of what you're refering to as "Regular BF2". Battlefield 2 for PC currently consists of BF2 and its expansion pack, Special Forces--and will be joined by Euro Force this week.

It's sorta hard to compare MC to good 'ole BF2 because the games are just different..the gameplay is different (not just talking about the controller here..but the actual feel of the games pacing and gun play). Different armies, kits, weapons..no commander mode..no anti tank..no squads..crappy medics..etc

As far as action goes, it must be jammed packed full of it if it expects to live up to its name...BF2 is full of HOLY SH!T moments.

btw, I think people know the difference between a video and a game.

Those are the best gun models i have ever seen. Even better than the kilzone vid (hate to bring up that pre rendered shite again). If only graw had gun models like that.

GRAW's modeling f'n rocks what is in this game, you just don't see a nicely detailed close up when you're in first person.

I love real guns..one of the things that worries me about DICE doing BF2142 next (assuming this rumor comes true, seems pretty likely right now) is that they'll have to move away from non-fiction and towards something that's more or less sci-fi...one of the things I love about BF2 and its expansions is the continued use of real to life weapons..'cept the Jackhammer, don't think that's ever been put into production..popular and real though, regardless.

Anyone know if this game has bots that can be used in split screen or LAN games. If so, how many.

Ubisoft is awsome at doing multiplatform stuff in general..check out these screenshots I took of the R6:Lockdown demo for PC:

pretty damn impressive step up over the Xbox game, I'd say..I really respect the aproach they take, trying to cater to each platforms strengths, rather than catering to some universal average. Personally I think the R6 pc port is more of an impressive port up of an old game than this..they're kings of multiplatform developement imo
