Alot of interesting things. You'll be able to go into every possible building you parachute into every mission and you decide where you land you can even get snagged up in a tree or something and if you forget to pull the parachute on time you can break through certain roofs etc. Next gen indeed ;)
Wrong link? ;)
nvm I see it now
Thanks for the link.
Take note how he says that they are currently not leveraging the specific advantages of either platform but they are focusing on gameplay. This is typical of cross platform games, as as budgets grow, dev teams increase, development schedules become even tougher, I think we will see this becomes the norm.
I am too poor to own a 360... therefor I play with paper statistics. The results of my indepth scientific anaylisis determined the most important benchmark is Pi. As in The Ring of Light.
Even although I love the thought of them showing off the velocity of certain explosions for bia 3 which would probably be similar to what we saw in that killing day video, but on a larger scale.
Nonetheless this game is sounding pretty damn impressive as you guys naturally agree and just think of the types of battles that can take place in single player or online with such freedom and control over where you land and not to mention they are talking about including alot of vehicles which will introduce yet some other interesting gameplay possibilities into the mix.
I wonder if you'll also be able to smash a car into the front door of certain buildings or crash a plain into the roof of other things. Maybe they'll seperate the ground and air combat so they aren't forced to consider such things, but then again that would just make things alot more crazy if its all pulled off. Hell.. its airborne shouldn't you naturally have to live with the danger of a plane to just come crashing into a building your in while you are doing some ground troop work?
No blood shown and yet it looked extremely violent? Just how dramatic was that death :)
Now ripping the violence out of the game doesn't make it a bad game--BF2 is also rated teen, and also has magical ragdolls that stay completely intact and blood free when they die..and that's one of my favorite games ever..but blood would imo add to the experience--and even serves a functional purpose--at long range it makes it potentially easier to tell a close hit from a miss with a little spatter.
Well, I'm done ranting on the subject..I basically just wanted to say f#ck you EA, war is not rated teen..I'm still interested..but I love how when I was a kid games were gorey as all hell and no one gave a damn..and now I'm an adult and they're taking the violence away from me :(
It seems like blood and gore are ok from an industry standpoint as long as it's Science Fiction or Fantasy..but if it's somewhat realistic, hell no!
It's a problem with the ESRB really--there's no real good reason why Halo 2 should be rated M--but BF2 is Teen..BF2 is about shooting realistic people with realistic guns--if anything it should be the more restricted of the two. (but should have blood :P)
