It has appeared to me in screenshots that characters seem blurry like a bad playstation 2 game are they really blurry easy to see and are nicely antiliased?
I am too poor to own a 360... therefor I play with paper statistics. The results of my indepth scientific anaylisis determined the most important benchmark is Pi. As in The Ring of Light.
I'm the Juggernaut bitch!
The next gen mmorpg is a guarantee for the 360. Also there will be a major announcements regarding the dragon quest and next final fantasy series coming to both the ps3 and 360.
Its not that square will simply base their support on how the 360 does they are kind of forced to support the 360. Look at their success on the ps2 kingdom hearts II , among all the other top sellers and they STILL had a very disappointing annual revenue that just goes to show that regardless of how well square enix can do on a sony console they NEED to support both consoles because development costs are now through the roof and unless they plan on losing more money than they did solely supporting sony console's they will fully back the 360.
Keep in mind its all about business and regardles if it doesn't do too well in japan square knows the european and american markets will buy the games. Hell square themselves know IF they provide the games the japanese market will buy it and they themselves must know a port of final fantasy XI wont cut it.
To be honest all it takes is one big game developer to develop an exclusive 360 title the japanese market will really want to force them to change their attitude towards the console. Thats what sakaguchi is doing with blue dragon, lost odyssey, and cry on. Team ninja and itagaki are doing their part same as mizuguchi now its time for square enix especially do something for the 360.
Hell one square enix exclusive 360 title alone would do big things for the 360.

It may be old but i bet it has more to offer in terms of gameplay/content than Oblivion, and i think grifter is being way over the top the 360 version looks better than a PC versions at 1280x720 with high textures and better draw distance.
The text has been increased by 20% for HDTVD users and unless you own a CRT set there is no reason to play it in 1080i.
SE doesn't expect FFXI to do well i think they are hoping many of the PS2 fans will upgrade and many of the European fans will get a chance to play the game, considering it never made it to Europe on the PS2. (they want to keep this game alive due to the amount of effort they have put into it)
Unless you have serious hours to put into the game it's probably not for you, when you reach level 60+ it can take 6-11+ hours to level and in the 70's probably 20+ hours.
But saying that it is by far the best online gaming experience i have had.
There; all better now.
Pretty cool game though--it couldn't keep my attention, but from what I did get to see it stacks up against other mmo's pretty well..despite being an aging game..it's sorta impressive in scale if you consider it's a PS2 game.
I guess this will give me the best impression of what it can look like on the 360.
Not bad at all I ran and the graphics definetly aren't terrible and if they are going to update the graphics in ANY minor way on the 360 version then I'd say its a good bet the graphics were tolerable weren't as bad as I originally thought they were.
The game demonstration part of that benchmark does that represent actual ingame gameplay ? Or was that just some fancy scene?
They should be releasing a benchmark 4 before Aht Urghan goes on sale.
