There's really only one thing you need to know about the debut trailer for Spider-Man 3: the character model shown is the exact model the developers have created to run on next-generation systems, not some fancy "target video" or part of a cinematic. And that seems to be Activision's goal with the teaser -- show just enough to get fans excited about where the series is headed (which has certainly worked on us), and then pull back before revealing too many details. Head over to GameVideos.com to stream or download the high-resolution versions.
So it looks like we'll have to wait to see all the information on the game flow in, but given the history of the series and the brief bits of movement seen in the trailer, it's safe to say that fluid animation and movement will play a big role in the game.
Going by the trailer, players can expect to see Spider-Man 3 on all the major consoles, including the Nintendo Wii, though it's likely the character model shown in the trailer was created on either Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 development hardware. Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to ship to stores in May 2007, conveniently tying in with the upcoming movie.

Nice model and animation to be sure. The previous games were a ton of fun, so here's hoping that the next will follow suit.
Never judge a game too harshly via screenshots or videos, because they are in no way capable of properly representing what the game truly looks like were you to see it running in front of you on a 360
