Game is pretty interesting so far, but I think I hit a glitch. I'm riding to Damascus, and all of a sudden my radar starts beeping and the guards pick a fight with me. I hadn't even done anything. Then I get to Damascus and the monks I'm supposed to hide with won't move from behind a shack...Can't talk to them or anything.

I swear I'm bogged down with my games lately. I've bought 3 lately, and when I get stuck on one I move onto another. I'm hoping to beat this, Crysis, and Mario Galaxy by Tuesday. I need some tips!

Well I ran back to Game with it and they were just as appalled as I was. They instantly just swapped it for a copy of the normal edition and I got to keep the LE statue and everything.

Excellent because honestly LE copies SHOULDN'T have that giant yellow bundle crap on it.

Was the statue a decent size, or was it a measly 2 inches? I was under the impression that the statue was supposed to be at least a few inches tall and was mounted on a base of some sorts.

Appearently, there was different rumours of the statue.

I thought that the statue was confirmed to be 12 inches, but I never went back to the information seeking once I heard from the staff that it costs 2-300 SEK more than the regular one, which is a HUGE rip off!

Whoa unbeliveable. It is Game policy right now to change te LE copies for regular ones??
I won't get mine till the 21st just with my ME LE copy. I am going to ask GAME-Spain to see if they will change my bundle copy for a regular one. I hope so and I will put Game-Sweden as the example. I really hope it is an order from Ubi that if the customer demands it they change the copy.
Was your copy already opned???

This game is a damn good game, boring ? no.. frustrating YES! god this game is driving me fucking mad

flag quests "i have lost my flags" WTF!

But sweet mother of god, if you going to make the fucking climbing as simple as holding forward make SURE it works ffs

and whats with all the civilians you save having 1 single wav file reply.

Oh and ai is crap, its just not there pure and simple, but yeah they had to sacrifice somthing for these visuals i suppose

oh and frame rate issues ? i have never seen a drop in frames yet and i am about half way through the game.7s but 8-9 reviews would of been

Well i bought the game and dont regret it. I can see the criticisms have with the game, and they're valid i guess, but im still having tons of fun with it. And the ai is not crap.

This AI is not crap no. ... it just aint there. hence it cant be crap if it does not exist, /8stealth kills 6 guy all next to each other without 1 thinking hmmmm

I doubt it's any kind of policy yet, the guy behind the counter just really knew how I felt about it and he said they'd sort it when it starts selling second hand. I've no idea what he meant though but didn't really think too much about it. Just went home with my copy, happy. :)

Oh and no it wasn't opened. I just closed the LE box as soon as I saw the case (in plastic wrapping) having that banner. Knew I didn't want it then.

So no, the only thing I'd opened was the plastic wrapping around the big box, but then there's another wrapping around the actual game case within.

I played it for a bit earlier and so far I can't see anything too wrong with it. It's really straightforward though and I can see how it just stops being terribly exciting at some point. I don't mind too much though because the story - at least the setup - seems cool and I wanna see where that's heading. Also, while the climbing is really Sands of Time for half retarded kids, it feels pretty nice occasionally, and especially the stealth kills have a nice sharp brutality to them that makes them satisfying to pull off.

I'm not too far into the meat of the game yet though. I just played until the skills reset basically before Galaxy withdrawals got too messy, but so far nothing has been especially upsetting. I can see the 7s and 8s though. Not expecting the 9s at all, but it's all really alright anyway.

I just hope it gets a second chance with a sequel. The story setup really asks for it too, lots of potential there.

Bought it yestarday, loving it!
After play i understand reviews, but my score for it would be 8/8.5.

Overall is a very fun game! I advice, who wants to get it :)

Im not saying its perfect but there are lots of instances where the ai is pretty smart. For example, how the crowd work with you and help stop the guards when you alert them, how they will recognize a dead body and panic, how the guards will throw rocks at you and shoot arrows when your trying to climb away and chase after you atop the rooftops, etc.

Yes if you go a few pages back in this thread I explained what I did. went for a bundle of 360 arcade + eternal sonata+ assassins+mass effect for £249.99 and a friend of mine agreed to take the console for £170 and hence I would be paying £80 for three games instead of £120. I got the console and Sonata but assassins and mass effect were going to be dispatched separately obvioulsy because they werent out yet ... so here I am waiting ..... :(

I'm not a religious guy at all, but when you approach and enter Jerusalem, I had goosebumps. There really is something about this being set where it's set, it's just too bad Altaïr is a bit of a twat and a mood killer as soon as he opens his mouth.

The game certainly is on the basic side, but if you can stomach the dullness of the actual gameplay I still think there's merit to both the story and just witnessing all of this.

In the game, but that's actually a good question. Or rather, I see how I could mean in real life too.

I'd really like to visit those places one day, because I really think it'd be a powerful experience. Again, even though I'm not religious.

This game is great, it has a few hicups, so not a 9+ on 10, but it definetelly does alot of things very well. Im enjoying it alot, wish when you used ranged, it would go into a closer 3rd person, gears of war view, so you actually aim...
also, wow, cant belive how many people you can get on screen sometimes... just sweetness.

On a les harsher scal, it was a pretty fun game nothing groundbreaking or new, but fun

Went i wrote my last post i was on the verge of throwing my pad threw the tv screen yes, but apart from the obvious defects in the game, to just sit there and watch the surroundings is fantastic if you can get over the religious theme been forced down your throat

I really like that the knives aren't manual aim. That would instantly give the game a very tedious and annoying feel to me. Its just best not to try to put skill into something unnecessarily it can totally drag the game down. Its like when the glave in dark sector had to be aimed that is so terrible. They are better off keeping it lock on. He's suppose to be a bad ass assassin so it would look weird for you have to waste time trying to aim a knife when it can auto lock on and in the process make you look like a really cool assassin that is actually good at what he does.

^^ odd thing is op though, 90% of the game is in auto, hence it gets tedious, i would of rather of had vastly challanging climbing to make those escapes more worthy and those 1 mile high buildings more awesome when you got to the top

Not the hold forward and prey altair does not jump in a random direction for no reason

Played all weekend, had a great time.
Game has it flaws (wich game is perfect?), but its a great experience.

Need two more targets to kill, been doing everything, saving all citizens, do all information missions, very fun!
