Batman AC>>>>>>Batman AA.

In AC you actually feel like Batman, roaming a big city, going on rooftops, using the grapple hook ALOT, planning your ambush down-below.
And the city looks great, and I love how smooth Batman controls in this one, its like Assassins Creed. You hold the sprint button and the character will do all the vaulting, grabbing above edges...etc.

I would say, its like Infamous, but Batman version, but MUCH faster to get around in the city, low and high, thank god.

Anyways, definitely gonna play it, I still havent beat Gears 3 yet, and now with this and MW3 on the 8th and Skyrim on 11th, so much! (especially Skyrim, but considering I am not in mood for fantasy games at this moment at all Skyrim has to be the least played recent game for me at this moment).

PS. I wish Rocksteady could do more comic book games, I was thinking of Thor or IronMan, I hate Superman, but it would be interesting to see if they could pull it off.

The only thing I hate about the controls is that you cant tilt the analog all the way to run so you have to hold the sprint, very annoying IMO.

If you tilt the analog all the way Batman should atleast jog, and slight tilt be walking and hold A button (360) to sprint as usual, perfect controls.

Though I do love the automatic vaulting and all that stuff when you hold the sprint button.

I'm almost at the end, and the fights are getting incredibly stressful. Throwing every type of enemy at you at once, and switching gadgets on the fly is getting me killed. Fun though, just takes a few tries, but there should be a way to swap Quick Gadget slots or something.

You mean like holding the left trigger and using the face buttons? I've been really impressed with how easily it is to use gadgets in a fight :)

Yeah, when I want to use a gadget that isn't on on there, I have to fumble with the awful dpad for a few seconds. I normally just spin around goons during this, but a stronger enemy will land a blow in there somewhere. It's not a big issue, but it would be more convenient.

Finished the game and loved everything. Amazing story, amazing gameplay, and I'm ready for more. I might even buy the Robin and Nightwing DLC packs. GOTY, and I don't see any of the games coming out changing my mind.

Only Skyrim at this point stands a chance of beating it for GOTY, i've played BF3, Gears 3, Uncharted 3 (damn lots of threes this year lol) and so far Batman AC is easily the best game I've played so far. Not sure what to expect out of Skyrim but i'm pretty sure AC will end up being my GOTY for sure. Amazing job they did with this game, a masterpiece in adventure gaming.

Just got to my second main Boss, such an epic fight!, one thing i hate in this game though is the forced dive bomb mechanic sections (mainly because i suck at it), apart from that great game, have to hurry though as Friday approaches!

Not sure what your issues are with dive-bombing.

I must admit that the handling could have been better, but its not that bad.

The really fine handling required of some of the advanced AR missions felt a bit loose, but the rest of the game controlled like an absolute dream to me....dive-bombing included.

So this game is worth buying or not? I thought Batman AA was ok, I beat it once and never played it again, I really liked the combat and the detective mode stuff. Game is $39 on Steam since I already own Batman AA. What do you guys think?

Just like Arkham Asylum was my GOTY for the year it was released, Arkham City is easily my top contender for 2011 GOTY.

The main mission and its ending aren't as solid as in AA(though I know people had an issue with the Joker battle at the end of AA....I loved it), but everything else is just top notch.
