Yes yes, I am done with my rant, my decision is done.

@KORN
Yes I noticed, annoyed by that too, but that was the only recent NG2 at that time and only version...until NGS2 came out.

But ah well, its all good.

This looks truly amazing, especially when you consider the fact that this is running on hardware that is almost 6 years old!!

Oh wow, 99% its identical!
Only small changes are the black cruch on 360 and some small extra details here and there and slight sharper on 360, but otherwise its exactly like the PS3.
Pros and cons on both.

But I could have sworned that the comparison they did before was with the same screenshots.

For example on the 4th image with the military jacket sleeve.
Before the 360 version was sharper and more detailed than the PS3 version, not its reversed.

Weird.

i've heard people saying they've mixed up the images. but for that specific image, there is a great big analogue stick prompt...that alone tells you which version is which. the one the with 4 little grip nipples and 'RS' is the 360 version, the one with just the 'R' on it is the PS3 version. i doubt the texture is that bad on the 360 tho, seems like it's just a texture steaming issue. i like the placement of the sun (which is weirdly different) on the PS3 version more...but aside from that, they look largely the same. some PS3 screen look better, and vice versa. need DF now to see how they both run.

Yeah, but I mean both have been captured on the same scene so I doubt there is something about texture loading.
But non the less, some screens look better or ideantical on PS3, while there are some high textures and slight more details on the 360, while PS3 version doesnt have black crush so you can actually see more details.

For example on the second image on the roof, the 360 doesnt show anything but on PS3 you see whats behind the black crush, which I like.

But yeah, very identical, but very misleading of them for mixing up the images.
Seeing it now, PS3 does looks very good in some parts that makes the 360 look bad, and vice versa.

Good job I guess.

That is a fake comparisson

360 version looks far better than Lens of "truth" pics show, for whatever reason

Funny stuff

Actually 360 pics are taken at motion blur moments or at different lighting conditions (sun down or whatever)

It is just not a comparisson, it is showing random pics from random places with random conditions

Also there can be no comparisson without HD pics

it doesnt seem to have any evidence that's it's motion blur. just looks like a pixilated, low res texture to me. which would be in-keeping with the games lacklustre LOD and texture streaming

i dont get why the position of the sun is in a different place on the PS3 version tho.. the game doesnt have a day night cycle does it?

Even so, the 360 is hiding some details because of the black crush while PS3 isnt, and I prefer the PS3 version for showing them.
I dont know why, but the "softer" look the PS3 version has reminds me a bit of a movie-theater feel to it overal, which I dont mind.

a softer image is often regarded as a more "cgi" look. i've read a lot of comments regarding killzone 2 looking better then K3 simply becasue it was a softer, more blurred image (thanks to the AA method) GTA4 was often said to look better on the PS3 too, despite it being lower res? it's just a visual preference i guess.

personally i'd prefer the game to look shaper.

Yes I know, but I guess both is good on their own right.
But yes, I do agree that I like Killzone 2's softer look more than Killzone 3, if its too sharp you see more jaggies, and the edges on softer one will have less so it kind of looks like it has low quality AA to it.

But as you said, if you pull off some bullshit like Black Ops, now thats just pathethic, here it isnt as exagerated.
I could even manage to play Modern Warfare 2 on my Ps3 and not noticing it and I know that wasent fully 720p and I didnt complain, which is weird why i do now :S

Just my opinion and what I see so its all good.

you do know what texture streaming is right? i never said that was how the 360 version looked ALL THE TIME (hell, i said the exact opposite) all i'm saying, is that the screen was obviously captured while the textures where loading in, something the game seems to truggle with on a whole. you only have to watch footage to see it (pick one, they all show signs of it). it would make sense if the PS3 version can stream in textures faster seeing as it has a 4 gig mandatory install, or maybe it's just random.

who knows, wait for DF.

I think was motion blur than a texture steaming problem, i have the video and the blur is nearly always on, hard to spot a frame without

This is the full video, the texture is crystal clear the whole time, only affected by the motion blur during movement

and yet texture streaming is equally as plausible, if not more so simply becasue every peice of footage we've seen across all consoles have shown signs of it. the arm patch doesnt look blurred, it looks in focus, the texture just looks low resolution. (you can see the pixels)

either way, DF will shed more light on the issue.

Labwarrior you can just give us links and not post the actual images, especially when I posted them before already, as links.

I remember when you could really compare different versions, because one had colour and the other didn't ;)
I am buying Dragon Age 1 for the ps3 after finishing DA2. I bought DA1 on release for 360 because DF said it wasn't as good on PS3. I gave up after about 8 hours because i realised i just preferred to play on my ps3 signed in to my friends list etc and controller preferences. I now wish i had just bought it for the PS3 back then instead. There are far more factors that go in to which version you will enjoy playing the most than just graphical fidelity , but it always seems to be the same story. From now on i'm not going to be swayed by this stuff because i feel it can dampen your enthusiasm for a game to the point where sometimes you miss out. It will look good, PC gamers will be a bunch of bitches about it no doubt, but i'm gonna play this one however it looks.

It looks like it's motion blur, but it's slight movement. Personally the footage impresses the hell out of me. There is so much graphical wizardry going on. Great stuff, on all platforms...

Dont know about you guys, but this guy's video stream (slow loading) has a great sharpness to it! (PS3)
<77a3>http://www.justin.tv/highgaming/b/282069136?

Though it could be because of the super small video resolution, but still, very nice.
