Best looking ps3 game period right here folks.... Hell I'd go as far as to say its the best looking next gen game period. Right click save target as.

It has one of the best animations I have seen in a next gen game, but its not the best looking game. That goes to Lost Odyssey and Final Fantasy XIII

looking at the menu systems and fighting. this game might make it near launch

sorry ops, its very nice in a cartoony way, but by no means is it the best looking next grn game.. for me LO/ME/GOW still set the bar....

He runs like a fag, but nonetheless still amazing. Yea maybe I overreacted, but imagine what the other more brightly lit areas in this game may look like? I hope tri-ace has similarly beautiful environments in their game its just absolutely mind blowing the work that is being done here. I'm eager to see more of blue dragon and lost odyssey's environments.

Microsoft needs to get level 5 to make an rpg for the 360 ASAP ;)

Lost Odyssey and FFXIII look alot more realistic than this. the environment is just above what we saw in Oblivion while the characters are cell shaded on the cartoony side, not realistic look for the characters. How you came up with the conclusion this is better looking than LO or FFXIII is beyond me. its on par with Blue Dragon screen here:

ops was just excited after first watching it, he knows LO/ME/GOW has it beat, it looks like it plays like KOTOR which has me very interested.... whens it being released ops??

It's not about graphics... White Knight Story has the most impressive combat system I've seen in any jRPG. AMAZING Even though it doesn't look better than Mistwalker games, I was far more impressed by Level 5's game presentation.

Yea i know those games look better but wow I was just shocked in the beginning.

I mean this is officially the first ps3 game to give me that "wow wtf" impression in motion. Basically what gears first did for me when i saw it, and what blue dragon did for me when i first saw it.

Wow--stunning. Certainly up there with the PS3's best. I'm not sure if I think LO/BD actually look better (i know they look great)--would need simular quality direct feed videos to justly compare--you definitly can't make a fair comparison between a low quality magazine scan and a relatively high quality video. Hell, I'm not sure there's much on PS3 that looks any better than this..very pretty game. It may not be the PS3's most technically impressive title--but it certainly is one of the most apealing visually.

LO isn't even the best looking Xbox 360 game imo...it's a great looking game, but Gears still impresses me more, based on what we've seen.

Aside from the fruity walk cycle, the animation is pretty nice too.

And? That's a better scan/grab of Blue Dragon..but what exactly are you trying to prove again? Actually, tbh--I take that back, BD actually looks better in the previous scan posted--but that's just not a particularly flattering screenshot.

Regardless, based on what you're posting they're still really difficult to compare--and frankly, they're such different styles visually that I hardly even see the point.

This is sorta getting a little off topic--moving this one over to the PS3 forum--there may actually be some people there that want to see this.

What are you guys all talking about? Based on what we have seen Blue Dragon is currently ABOVE Lost Odyssey. Lost Odyssey will likely clean BD's clock by release but currently BD has it most together.

As for this game, it looks awesome but both games have it beat. For example, the lighting is great and shadowing system is good but notice how none of the characters self shadow? Where as the shadowing/lighting system in BD is phenomenal and in LO quite spectacular as well.

Yeah--the light model in this game is wonderful--but self shadowing could go along way to make it look better. Could be a style choice--but regardless I would prefer it if they used self shadowing..

Still a very attractive game, though. The fight animation isn't all that either, but there is a few good bits of character animation in there--the facial expressions/animations look particularly well done.

Not impressed really after playing Rigue Galaxy it's just more of the same, the idea of the transformation is a nice idea, but still doesn't cut it.

I'm not a fan of realtime RPG's either so this is a bit lost on me, graphically it doesn't touch Lost Odyssey.
