I'm making a Halo themed design right now. I'm 70 layers in on the MC's helmet. Hopefully it turns out good enough to showcase here. :)

Sounds awesome.. look forward to seeing that one. Should fetch a good price on the auction house if you decide to sell it. Personally I'd have a hard time letting go :)

I.. don't know. Can you copy your paint jobs? That would actually take a bit of the fun of the auction house away I think.. something special about the cars uniqueness. I don't have it yet either btw.

Yeah you can save a whole decal and apply it to as many cars as you want. A decal cannot be copied off a car that has been bought on the auction house though. That would definatly ruin it.

Is it also possible to duplicate layers, so you have the same decal on both sides of the car. If so, how can you do that?

Select other side of car then an empty decal slot. Press A on that and theres an option to insert all from other side of car.

I heard that you could set that as the person selling the car, if you wanted to lock the paintjob/decals or not.. Which means if you lock it noone buying the car after you sell it can copy the paintjob/decals onto another car, but if you don't lock it they can.. Can someone confirm that?

I will look into that later on. I think even if you can do that, anyone with a design that they put a lot of time into, they will most likely lock it.

I'm still not quite done with the MC, and I still have to finish the emblem, but the top is basically complete. I have no idea what to do with the sides though. If you guys have any Halo themed suggestions, I'm all ears.

People are spending more time customizing cars than... racing o_0 (Kind of puts graphics into perspective in how artistry draws people this much into a game... 'tis 'portant!)

When Microsoft took the game to the Sebring 12-hour race this year to show off, they let the Risi Competitzione racing drivers have a go to compare the experience of lapping the track in a virtual F430 GT2 car with the real thing. Mika Salo, Jamie Melo and Johnny Mowlem all found they were slower in the game than in real life, as they were suffering wheel spin in certain corners. It turned out that in real life, the teams keep their traction control activated to save the tires, and once they turned it on in the game they were able to match their actual lap times. If you are brave, though, and play with all the aids turned off, along with no racing line and the hardest AI setting, you'll earn a 50 percent bonus at the end of each race, which adds up quickly.
A solid 9 or better in their opinion.

REALLY impressive halo paint job dude, blew my mind, possibly the best i've seen yet (althought he car itself is a little bland but i realise its a work in progress)

anyway, posting here mainly to tell any UK'er about a deal going on at gamestation.

basically they're selling forza 2 half price when bought with any other 360 title (including pre-owned and pre-orders) making forza 2 only cost £15...bargain.

i myself am not taking advantage of this offer since i disslike the game (im more of a DiRT kinda guy), but i thought people who can take advantage of the offer (UK'ers) should know about it.
