Yeah, apparently Dead Island wasn't made in large enough unit batches for demand so instead of getting the 250 GB 360 slim bundle I was shown this one

Also come with a crysis 2 download code free.

Mite expensive though when I was looking at only buying the £200 bundle but when you're spending £200 I figured why not spend £270 and go the whole hog as it were.
Dangerous logic. Many a time i've been looking to spend a set amount on tech only to say to my self '50 quid extra could get me even more stuff' problem is, when do you say when?

At just over a quarter of total price I can say OK, if it was £300 I would have said thanks but no thanks.

been playing for a few hours now, and i dont think i've taken a breath yet :), Gears balls to the wall action is second to none!!, oh and Hardcore is the only level to play, unless your new to shooters.

WOW! just got to the end of Act3 after a marathon 10hr session with 2 friends, man what a blast!, controls much better and plays as smooth as ice :), going to get some rest then dive into Horde and Beast mode.

Just completed campaign with three other friends. We did 2 player split-screen over live. Took us nearly 12 hours (with a few breaks here and there). Great, great fun! :D

Feels really strange. It feels like only yesterday we were playing gears1. It was really nice to wrap it up like that. Don't know if it was my favourite campaign of the three, but it definitely had some brilliant moments.

Finished the campaign. I liked it a lot. Had some slow parts, and the never ending "Marcus/Cole, go get that thing, and bring it back! Oh wait, this is the wrong thing- it didn't work go do something else. Oh and flick lots and lots of switches on your way back!" That really got old.

Can't wait to play some MP later.

I'll sell the game as soon as I get BF3. MP is not worth my time and nerves. Campaign is lots of fun, still have to play the last act. Maybe some horde and that's it.

Just finished the game. Awesome stuff even though there are a couple of things I would have done differently... Also, I honestly think that the novels should NOT have that much of an influence on the game itself. I don't mind since I've read them all but I can imagine a lot of people wondering WTF some characters are refering to, every so often.

Got to play it last night.. at last, but anyway so far it is great yes, but i just cant help but think the visuals are been praised way to much and it comes across really slow paced compared to what everyone is saying, i got to the "bridge" in act 1 and its picked up pace a bit, but so far comments like "artwork" and shit on the visuals i find very over the top, its damn nice yeah but its not.. you know overly fantastic.

Enjoying it though and thats all that matters :D

was up till about half 3 playing it, completed it..
great game loved it, i did not feel that sence of "the end is nigh" as the trailers kept forcing down our necks, but then this is gears, WHEN have they been as good as the trailers?

There was some very well executed scenes in it and well acted (for big fat blokes been emotional anyway :) ) the scenes were on par with the quality of the maria scene in 2
Half the time i had little idea what the fuck was going on though to be fair.

was only on normal was our first game of horde, and happened to last from 8:30 till about 12:30 lol

using good old zombie mode tricks, for instance, keep 1 shitty drone or grinder alive (grinders are slow and shit on accuracy) and run round picking all gear up and ammo, get everyone in your main base up and ready nuke the final drone upgrade as much as you can (turrets over fences, fences are fucking useless when the big boys come out)

Oh and the old gears 2 horde trick still works, everyone gather shields before round starts and stick them back in the ground at start of next round (block entrances) they work a treat especially when they sound out maulers, those fuckers get stuck on them every time and everyone get stuck behind them.. get boom shot out and watch those ribbons fly :D

Only time shit really hit the fan was on level 10-20-30-40 those berserkers are a pain in the arse (specially the lambent ones) brumark is piss easy it's a breeze if you get one.

But when you get berserkers best thing to do is ignore them and nuke everything else leave them till last and burn those fuckers.

Some sweet tips there thanks.... lvl 30 is owing me at the moment (Normal difficulty) fracking berserkers!!, i cant imagine me beating all 50 lvls on the Hardcore difficulty?? :O
