I so wish there was a custom browser right now. I enjoy modes like rocket race and zombies so much. For some reason Bungie doesn't provide them regularly.

See Beagle. That would require work. Bungie doesn't really do that anymore. If it takes more time to do for them to beat Halo 2, it ain't getting done.

I sympathize with Korndog and I'm someone who has played all of the Halo's because I enjoyed the original so much. This is why I've avoided ODST though. I know the only thing worthwhile within its depths is firefight for me and my friends, and maybe that's all that is necessary.
Level design, movement, and gameplay mechanics have not changed enough even since the first Halo to get me into it again. Although seeing simplified single wielding again tempted me.
I think level design hurts these games the most, especially after experiencing the amount of immersion games have started having this generation. Halo is very very cold in comparison.
The multiplayer is a success and deserves praise for being such a technical achievement on console, which is huge mind you. The core game itself though isn't as invested as it's systems though.

The campaign was short but still decently fun, nothing special.

However, firefight is a fucking blast with friends! By far the most fun I've had with a Halo game since the first Halo or the first weeks of Halo 3 MP. I wish more games had this mode, like Gears' horde mode. It really is perfect for just about any shooter game.

Strange, really, since the level design in ODST is the most unique out of all of the Halo releases.

FireFight -very cool but hard. Me with 3 friends play in on normal and didnt make 200 000. Then play it on easy - 2 hours and we got 200 000 on Crater and 200 000 on platoon. and got 2 achievments for this))))

Played firefight with a friend yesterday on normal and we made the 200k easy. Maybe we'll try to get a new record today with two additional guys, last time we managed to get close to 2 million points on heroic... this time the goal is 3 mil.

Yeah I've got them all. Last one was a bitch, had to look at a guide I'd never have found it where it was. Must have spent a good few hours driving about on a Mongoose trying to pick up the SI's clue for it.
