i made the mistake of clicking on a Didact one, and got the intro cutscene of the didacts intro and as Brilliant and amazing as it was :), i wish i'd never clicked it.

Yes, I actually got spoiled a little bit, but in a good way. I was 100% correct about what the Prometheans are, and what it was that created them. :)

Oh, and I saw the Didact! Cool :D

I definitely watched the prologue for the game, though. That was kick ass.

I was hesitant as all hell, but I looked at some stream, and, I shit you not, the story looks much better than I hoped, and it's obvious my expectations were more than just a little unrealistic, but it's looking like this thing might actually over deliver. I cut it off after maybe 5 or 6 minutes, couldn't risk spoiling anymore. They've definitely outdone themselves, it would seem.

Even watched the surprisingly not that spoilerish, but totally awesome, legendary ending for the game... GOD DAMN! I want this game now! I was waiting for something so spoilerish that I couldn't risk watching anymore of it, but it was pretty safe viewing, if only because it fell perfectly in line with what I had expected of a game meant to be a trilogy. In terms of gameplay related spoilers, I've only looked at 4 or 5 minutes worth of that. I'm officially content and have had my fill. From here on out for me, it's the rest of FUD, the expected launch trailer, and then blasting through the game on Heroic when I get it. :D

Oh, last but not least, 343 has a LOT of balls. That's all I'll say about that :) Really didn't think they had it in em.

Correction, I didn't watch the legendary ending, I watched the legendary 'epilogue'. Guess it's separate from the actual ending. So, even after seeing that, I'm still free from the worst possible spoilers.

Believe it or not, it wasn't even filled with very many spoilers, and, most important, it wasn't at all different from what I had already been fully expecting. I can't say I watched the in-game ending, at least not the traditional ending that we often associate with a Halo game. What I watched was the legendary ending's CG epilogue, which I assume comes immediately after the actual in-game ending and credits. If I absolutely had to sum it up, (these aren't spoilers) think of it like Halo 3's legendary ending, where we saw Cortana and the Chief drifting towards a strange planet, but the ending that preceded that, where the warthog flew into the back of the Forward Unto Dawn and then the Arbiter took the controls as the chief almost fell out of the ship -- well, the Halo 4 equivalent to that stuff and what followed are still very much a mystery to me. I have no idea how things concluded.

The epilogue, in my view, doesn't really tell you what went down beforehand, it only clearly hints that SOMETHING obviously crazy went down. Quite a nice shift from previous games, though. I'm loving the vibe that I'm getting.

I have been looking for the best pre-order deal. Newegg has it for $45 after an instant rebate--but doesn't seem to have launch day delivery. The MS Store has a $25 gift card (get MS points I guess) but I don't see a launch day guarantee. I have Amazon Prime but all they have is a $10 video credit.
