How fantastic is this cant believe your not talking about it on here

The lighting is brilliant
The updated overall textures are great
The new models are spot on ish.. (mainly marines)
The updated music sounds brilliant, apart from one of the main "battle" tunes.. electric guitar was a bit much, similar to what they did in halo 2
New dialogue from what i have heard so far is great
sniper looks shit hot
and the new sounds added (just reload that rocket launcher, sounds awesome)
But

Johnson looks older in here than in 3?
But keyes looks younger?
Cortana has..odd moments (like right at the start "yank me" whats with the over animated gasping she is doing, original gave more emotion)
CoOp spawning has issues (some times my boy was not spawning and had to revert to previous save to get him back in)
Multiplayer is a scratch card, so don't buy second hand people)

Will def pick it up and some point, but have to finish Skyrim and Batman AC first, have you found any Terminals yet? they have big clues to the setup of Halo 4 apparently?

i found 4-5 terminals highly enjoyable, so far they have not give "much" away that we don't already know

But i saw a forunner :D

To be fair pretty disappointed how EASY they are to find, maybe because i know this game blindfold and its more of a case of "where would i hide it" and so far they have been where i expected.

planning on renting this soon for co-op. footage i've seen over at giant bomb didnt look great tho. they've improved the visuals and some geometry, but they havnt incresed the amount of assets in the world. which makes it look quite barron. i would have expected them to make a foresty area more dense with trees and foliage? guess not. still looking forward to playing it again with my mate tho.

Have some friends that are playing it and loving it, it has to be the best HD remake i've seen so far, cant wait to be able to have some time to play it.

it's the ONLY HD remake we've seen so far, unless you count chronicles of riddick dark athena. next remake up is strangers wrath, which i'm psyched for. one of my fave games on xbox.

I think Monkey Island 1 and 2 were pretty good HD remakes too :D

clipping issues dude, as edge stated they put a rock where before there was not one, so Hunter was clipping straight through it.

lol, i really dont know what to say, dont see how you could possible consider a upscaled resolution to be the same as a remake. but whatever..

Well of course technically there not the same!, but just because some dev's cant be arsed to put the effort into a remake, means i throw them all in the same pot, frack-em!

seems kinda illogical. like expecting the same quality CGi in a blu-ray release of a film from the 80s as a full remake made in 2011. does not compute. but to each his own i guess.

I'd definitely be playing it if I had an Xbox. It's almost a blessing I can't right now. Between Skyrim and BF3 I don't really have time for more Halo right now. I want dem Reach maps more than the actual remake :D

How many players does the remake support in co-op?

2 players, local and over XBL. I'm buying it for Christmas, it's a bit unfortunate though they didn't iron out the framerate.

It doesn't, 3, ODST and Reach are all much better than Halo 2.

^Yeah

Reach is my favorite of the series. Mixes all the best elements of every iteration into one great game. Bungie definitely went out with the game in the best possible way.
