Very impressive looking game, but there is one thing that bugs me about what I saw.

Gameplay surprisingly. I hate how enemies are just walking around you like complete idiots sometimes until one or 2 of them decide to do something. Obviously it was there clever little way to make the fights feel more individual and in your face, but it looks weird sometimes. Thats the only complaint I have all else looks great.

Well I guess I'm not too sure about some of those shooting sections, but the story, art direction and practically everything else looks really really good. I think this title is worth a ps3 as well Jolli. Some great work with the characters and such the character animation and the cutscenes.

That could well be the difficulty level!

If you are not taking this game seriously, as a PS3 owner! Then maybe you should have held off.

Not taking it seriously? Its one of the reasons I even got a ps3, but I voiced a concern I've been seeing since E3 06 and I'm still seeing in the latest build of the game. Maybe you're right and its difficultly level related. I wouldn't mind seeing the devs pump it up to show us what the battle system can really do though :D

haha sick gif kenshin.

This will be the game that makes me get a PS3 I think. The only question is how much I'm paying for it.

Pretty impressive stuff! Although seeing that makes me sad that NG2's story and story-telling are going to be even worse now by comparison.

Videogame stories are horribly over rated anyway. NG is full of ass kicking gameplay. I'm not sure I really need more than that.

You're kidding right? Everything was so disconnected and random. I really have no beef with simple good vs. evil stories, but I can't stand when they're told in nutty, incomprehensible ways.

I wouldn't say that they're always overrated. Sometimes the story can make a mediocre game actually worth playing if it causes you to invest even a little bit of emotion into it. NG's action is probably my favourite, and NG itself is one of my favourite games of all time, but there's chance that it could have been *my* favourite game had there been even a semblance of a rationally told story there.

I would put the story on the backburner, while I implement a controllable camera system.
I can't stand the freaking camera in that game.

Heh stories are what make a lot of games for me without them I don't know if I'd even like games as much as I do.

I need a good enough reason to care about what I'm playing. For stuff like counter-strike though I play it just to kick the crap outta people not as good as I am.

what would be the alternative tho really? its a close combat, melee fighting game...if enemies crowded you then they are crowding themselves too....it'd just end up being a huge pile on. the enemies need room to actually attack, and when you have 30 people gathered around a single target (the main character) that would be kind of difficult.

And where were those same concerns regarding N3 ??

Exactly..

There is a huge difference to having 100's of NPC on the battle field like this, opposed to something like Ninja Gaiden which only has 5 or 6 at a time.
