but you MUST have missed some stuff if you spent all that time yet ended up with less experience. and hence a lower level???

Not if you enjoy exploring the world, its not all about xp points you know jeeze, and as i stated i have about 10 side quest left to do, which would have got me 50 with ease.

I said relatively bombed, as in compared to my expectations of sales. MS almost certainly changed their marketing strategy after the deal as the bioware guys were talking about gears level marketing prior to the deal. The commercials that I saw were pretty darn good but they really weren't aired as much.

Actually im finding the commercials for Mass Effect airing quite frequently. Its a shame they didnt slap an emo song to it like Gears had, i bet it'd be selling through the roof! :P

Have my copy sitting here right next to me. Now, i just only have to go through a working day (8 hours still) plus a football match (Benfica-AC Milan, 2 hours) and then finally Mass Effect. It's gonna be a long day!

Hehe, looks like I'll be playing the game over again. So far I'm about 25-30 hours into the game, and my character is level 30 I think. Just like dc, taking my sweet time, no need to rush. And I agree, how the hell could you possibly do every single thing in the game in 25 hours. With all the voice acting, the travelling upon planets, the elevators...it just doesn't seem possible unless you skip a lot.

25 hours, medium difficulty, all side quests complete (appart from the seaching ones for boring things to scan)

so who in turn created the reapers, saren, the council,and all the speices in the galaxy including themselves in digital form?

and who created the galaxy?
WE DID, HUMANS at BIOWARE did

I mean seriously. They wouldn't make him a Spectre based on how ugly he is! No wonder Saren wants to kill all humans, risking another ugly one being born like him just isn't worth it! Holy crap, his face killed off all the Protheans! New conversation option available "Why are you covering your eyes?" and Intimidate + 50, Charm -100. The Normandy really isn't that fast, the other ships just fly slower to stay behind him!

i did all of those except about 6 or 7. mainly the ones that required you to take gas/metal samples from planets. or finding those symbols and discs i think (although i could have done that one), again, on planets. those where a little too contrived for my liking. it got to a point where every mine, every underground base and every planets surface looked the same that i just stopped going to them. theres only so many times you can go kill a group of biotic fanatics in identical bases before it gets old.

think i'll play again in a couple months when its not so fresh in my mind. i blasted through the first half hour again tho just to see what sort of outcomes there where now i have maximum charm and intimidate skills, i was being as mean as possible and intimidating everyone to do eveything...lol. pretty cool, although i felt bad when i told ash she shouldnt have been so careless when walking up to the first node...lol, she looked so upset. oh well.
