2010-01-08 04:53:38 New Samsung 9000 Series HDTV Check the video out and see how thin this TV is, less than 4mm's thick supposedly, pretty inpressive. --- |

2010-01-08 05:01:56 Pretty cool.. but I have to wonder.. how thin does a TV really need to be? |

2010-01-08 07:59:39 The remote of that TV is more impressive, imo. |

2010-03-25 19:33:19 I'd be most afraid of the fact that it is a Samsung ;)) --- |

2010-05-17 03:56:38 I'm looking for a new (HD)TV myself.. After reading many stuff about them and some reviews by AV(nerd)websites, I've cut down my choice to bassicly 3 TV's.. To make it interesting, all 3 use different tech, there's 1 regular LCD, 1 (edge)LED LCD, and 1 Plasma.. --- |

2010-05-20 19:47:38 Personally I wouldn't touch a Plasma, yes they are better than they used to be, but they are more suited to home cinema than gaming IMO. --- |

2010-05-23 03:46:08 Infact according to all the tests I've read the plasma is by far the best TV to game on.. That's because most new LCD's have way more input lag and still way more motion lag (plasma has 0.001ms responsetime).. But I didn't buy the Panasonic Plasma because I saw some flickering in the screen (like it was 60Hz?), which sucked because otherwise the TV was perfect for me.. I already feared I would see it, because I read in tests some people do and I knew I was sensitive to it aswell, and I was right unfortunatly.. Both Samsungs I dropped aswell because of high input lag when gaming, unless you turn on gamemode which makes imagequality go down the hill.. So surprisingly I bought a late 2009 model LG 42SL8000.. Imagequality matches that of the Samsungs as far as I could tell, it is 42" instead of 40", and it has less input lag when gaming without having to sacrifice imagequality.. I've had it for 4 days now, and it's perfect for me.. Regular digital and HD channels look awesome, and Xbox 360 gaming on 1080p (especially RDR) is simply stunning.. --- |

2010-06-24 11:57:22 They still suffer from image retention, and the black levels will change over its life span due to the nature of the gas in the pixels. --- |

2010-06-24 12:17:43 You'd be silly then as plasmas have virtually no gaming lag. --- |
| Jollipop Since 2327 Days |
2010-06-24 13:44:38 Im not talking about lag though, I'm talking about image retention, when a pixel stays slightly lite when it goes dark, it can cause image ghosting aswell which is something else I don't like about gas driven TV's CRT included. --- |

2010-09-22 00:02:38 I have a 2010 7000 series 63" Samsung plasma... my other plasma was a Samsung 58" from 2009, that my dad bought off of me. |

2010-11-24 11:43:32 ^ I know someone with the same TV, very nice set for cinema, I have seen slight burn in on his screen from games though, not massively but its still there and would be enough to drive me nuts. --- |

2010-12-29 16:28:44 I've had my Samsung(SP01, I think) for 4 years now, and it's goin' like a champ, blacks aren't the best but it was top-o-the-line when I bought it. Samsung has got me as far as TV's go. Next stop- LED with 3d capabilities. Now where did I put my knock-out-my-wife-so-I-can-get-a-new-TV-that-I-totally-don't-need stick?.... --- |
