The quality is not really good, ingame looks more than ok, but I'm not really sold on that bike thing.
The triumph the guy is racing doesn't seem to be very fast and he's not a good pilot either... well let's say he's trying to earn kudos.
Edit : you're welcome, mate
I hope Snoopers and Pipo shot a few PGR4 videos during E3, because I'd really like to see a better definition one.
Fanboy officiel de Call of Duty 4
Thanks for video by the way. :)
Edit: he just mucking around trying everything rather see a video of someone on Augusta Senna or CBR
New trailer in HD.

Now THAT is how you do a trailer :)
Blows me away. Definitely one of this years E3's highs. If any racing game could steal the show, this would be it.. shows you how tough some of the competition was this year.
WOW.
For example, the video LEBATO just posted was already on Gamersyde -- in 720p!! -- on Wednesday.
Overlooked... for the lose :( If you look closely at the cars you can see how INSANE the detail is. Visually this game is absolutely stunning. Even the crowds look better and more fluid.
Surveying the racing field at E3 this definately has to be the top game. Burnout has some nice crashes, but graphics are a mixed bag from really great to average at best. And while biased (the newer Burnouts are not as fun imo) the game isn't even really racing, but modernized destruction derby. You run around a town, find shortcuts ala SF Rush, and crash into stuff. Sandbox tech demo. Very arcady, hit a car head on and stop, glance the side keep going and rear end a car and meh, lose only a little speed. The word, "Breaks" doesn't even appear in the manual :P Hyper nitro racing in the superman car for sure.
NFS is another looker, but the gameplay looks very much like Burnout in many ways. More racing, but very arcady. Jump off cliffs, crash down, and keep going. The skill level seems very... null. The game appears to be more about just pushing through the course, seeing cool crashes, bash into eachother, etc. No brakes in this game either! This gets the same tagline as Burnout: hyper nitro racing in the superman car. Great casual experience but I just don't dig these games, the learning curve tends to be shallow and the racing -- which is why I like racers -- takes a back seat.
GT was just a video, ho hum. Juice 2 needs no comment. The new MotoGP is looking better, but it just isn't in the same gameplay, appeal, or visual class.
PGR4 really did a lot for the franchise. Awesome graphics (720p with high levels of AA). Realtime weather -- which looks awesome -- and they NAILED HDR effects and reflections. The game is smooth and detailed looking. 10 courses, more cars, cockpit view, MORE online modes, more damage. Forget the bikes for a moment, just the core game is ratched up a lot. Racing fans looking for a FF Wheel workout and PGR fans are in for the best game in the series.
Proven *racing* game, maybe the best graphics at the show of any game (easily up there with CoD4, AC, ME), and a lot of new gameplay and replay features. And their Live hotness should make this a special game with a lot of value.
The fans have spoken. Concerning the graphics of the Halo 3 Beta: "There's so many little effects and things going on that make this game pretty much 2nd only to Gears at the moment."
Should be getting as much coverage as games like Cod 4 etc.

It has a robust online experience which should appeal to Halo gamers. It has some killer graphics and is a known, well liked franchise.
If I were MS I would try to angle PGR3 in a way so that when those 4.5M people line up to get Halo 3 they see PGR4 in displays and kiosks and sitting right next to it.
It is one of the perfect games to compliment, and not compete with, Halo 3 and could, possibly, see a nice sales spike due to association. We can hope!

I liked some of the older ones, but the opening of the new trailer is my favorite.
I like it because it has everything "coming together".
The car model is insanely detailed. Just... wow.
The paint shader is spot on.
The water drops look realistic.
The rain is subtle yet noticable and not distracting, low quality or cartoony.
The reflections are perfect--not overdone, but also present. It looks like an expensive car paint job in overcast lighting with a mild sunbreak... just what you expect.
HDR is also perfect--nice highlights, and present where you expect it and NOT where it shouldn't be. Great contrast, solid lighting model.
Great occlusion; the model has "depth" due to the lighting model, you can see how the arches occlude the sun on the underside.
Great texture quality and filtering, e.g. you can read the ALPINE logo on the left perfectly.
The crowds are huge and you can see numerous animated states and diversity in dress.
The clouds are beautiful, BC balanced the lighting and shadowing in this low contrast overcast with sunbreak settings perfectly. Anti-climactic lighting done awesome.
The building on the right has amazing detail, reflective windows (and all catching slightly different angles), poly rails.
Aliasing... I almost forgot to mention it because BC whipped it. Edges are clean, textures are clean, shaders look clean for the most par, reflections aren't killed with nuclear reaction style bloom and aliasing.
The world is detailed, and the cars even more so.
Toss in the cabin view, dynamic weather changes, more robust online options, and bikes and... wow.

Aside from the crowd closest to the foreground, it's on the line of photorealism.

Hironobu Sakaguchi is coming back to reclaim the throne :)
