Yea i suppose, problem with only partying with friends is that you are sometimes left to wait around to do missions.

I noticed they have taken the demo off the MP ... hmmm

I can't sign in anymore either, i guess the servers are taking a hammering.

The only thing which bothers me about getting it in November is starting from level one again..

Making money in this game is hard... :S

I hope they change the lotting to random or in order by default for the proper release because this ninja looting is starting to annoy me.
You can set the loot distribution from the mission counter if you're the party leader, so I don't think it's really that much of a problem..not exactly sure how it works, but I think it's there to resolve this very issue. You can set it to assign rares either in order, at random, or by finder--same for normal drops.

Been having trouble getting in myself..hopefully this isn't an issue in the retail.

Yea I just forget when i start up a party and its a hassle as well, i would have thought random would have been a better as a default.

Money getting is easy if you go through runs alone. I usually come out with 1000+ on each run. I just got to the point where I can do the opening mission on the blue planet alone and I get 2500 each time I do it. Not to mention I'm finding weapons drops all over the place. I was gonna buy a few new gun, but I don't need to anymore. So I'll just buy a bunch of gun techniques.

Yea going at it solo seems like the best way to aquire loot. I do think it's easier if you do random loot distribution too, because it's a lot more fair..especially to the characters playing ranged.

You get 2500 from one loot run?

I assume you sell everything, perhaps i should also, i have been stocking all my loot in my house so i can synth stuff it's not really making me much money though..lol

The harder level area's 15 + levels aren't easy to solo unless you're a force and can heal yourself.

I'm a bit concerned about the synthesizing as well, supposedly 90% of plus the top class weapons in the retail game will be synth only, and the synth boards will be hard to come across for rare items, but if you have spent ages gathering the right stuff to make a weapon/armor and it fails it would be a bit of a kick in the teeth.

They should have it so you can either make it or not by the skill level you have.

Sell all syth stuff. Synth isn't even up in the beta so there's no point holding on to it.

And yeah if you go to the big open level on the blue planet and do the first mission, you can get out of there with 2500 easily. I got over 3200 earlier today because I got about 4 or 5 good weapon drops and just sold them.

I was impressed today though. While on friday and saturday the game was major laggy poo, today it was pretty good. There was only lag going in and out of menus, but playing was totally seemless. That's the kind of experience I want all the time if I'm going to be putting down 8 or 9 bucks a month down for this thing.

PSU is in my good graces. Stop the presses, Sega made a good game.

Synth is up in the beta, I been synthing my nuts off .. I got some cool weapons upgrades from it actually. (nothing spectacular though, just fire +20% and what not)

There will supposdly be a auction house kind of thing in the final version, so i hear.

I have done the first Mission on Puran loads of times and i only came out with about 800, ahh well.

Rarely does a year go by where Sega doesn't make a good game. Virtua Fighter 5 makes up for so much :)

I haven't really done anything with synth myself, what's the basic concept behind it? Seems simple but I haven't bothered trying to figure it out..

Basic concept is you get synth boards, which you give to your robot partner thingy in your room, put the items you need to make the item in it's storage and instruct it to start making it.

Weapons and Armor take time to make, food and medical supplies don't.

The outcome of the weapons element depends on the photon you use.

You can give your partner items to increase its sucess rate, most of the weapons in the final game will supposedly be synth only, dropped in battle or bought from other people.

Interesting..I may not get around to checking out crafting until the retail drops :/ I'll probably play some today, and if we're lucky it will still be open for the 18th..even though Live will be down tommorow.

Well, a friend of mine told me Sega's 360 games are region free, sort of as a rule. My friend isn't entirely reliable, but he does have a random connection to people who know things, and looking at Sega's past 360 games they've all been region free, so.

I guess the only thing that could present a problem is account stuff, but I can't picture how. We'll see.

Yea I just did the dragon boss (De Ragan), didn't get to the bosses on the other planet yet :( Was pretty fun..he was sorta simple at first, but he starts getting aggressive after a bit. Fun game..now at the top of my gamefly queue.

Yea it's a lot harder than the blue planet.

Didn't get chance to try the other one either, i think it's a plant monster on the other planet, i hate those damn things.

Evil, evil Xbox Live downtime, and on the last day of the PSU beta aswell. Surely they could've waited a day if one hand knew what the other was up to.

Yes it's down for 24 hours.. :(

PSU goes offline around 12am so i think we have had our last play, can't see Sega extending the beta period seeing as the the game is out in a week.

It's kind of shitty that you can't play games which aren't part of XBL (FF11, PSU) whilst XBL is down for maintance.
