i think so optimus, yeah;)

its just hard to compare graphically, games like FN round 3, GRAW, GOW, Kameo and PGR3, because they are all so different. but yeah, kameo is definately up there.

Heh at any rate for the officially first ever xbox 360 title to be up there with those games is quite the accomplishment.

One of the main problems with kameo and PDZ was everything was shiny.
The ai in PDZ wasnt anything to be proud of.

Hmm, if I were to complain about something specific in PDZ (people here already know I'm actually rather keen on the game overall) it'd be the design of some characters and their animations. Especially the ragdolls are plain weird.

Apart from that, technically? I dunno. I mean people go on and on about how shiny it is, but I sort of think that's part of its overall visual identity. Look at the first PD, it's all like a shiny, bright, fluorescent futuristic rave disco musical shooter thingy. I actually rather like that it's always really glittery like that.

Also guys am I the only one that thinks Kameo is the 360's most technically impressive title? I think what made Gears look so amazing was more an artistic thing than technical, but sure its no slouch technically either.

I don't know I think rare is really using a lot of impressive shader and texture tricks.

They're showing they have a strong knowledge of how to use the 360 GPU in impressive fashion. They're using alot of nice technology that you normally see used in most tech demos.

Mixed bag to me, I thought PDZ looked like crap at times, but I fell in love with that 'rooftops' level, beautifull piece of work there..!

i bought the 360 at launch just because of Kameo. if it wasn't for that game, i would have waited for some other big name game.

i love Kameo and out of all of the games i've purchased, that's the only one i still have.

Yea, great point, especially consider that PDZ was their first 360 game.

So you don't think PDZ being horrible speaks of Rareware game design? Oh no it's just another FPS lolz. The console isn't even flooded with quality shooters. There are about two (maybe three, but still) worth while shooters out right now, and only one of them is an FPS (and it's not the one with the gore).

As i said it was beta, MS forced there hand to release the game way before it was completed that was not rares doing, that was MS fault, MS just wanted a first party FPS at launch and that was there only option due to forcing bungies hand and making them release a other FPS game that was no where near finished.

Well I wasn't a big fan of PDZ, but I do think they did a good job on it with all things considering. I mean it was originally developed on the Gamecube, moved to the Xbox, the finally moved again to the 360. Not to mention it was a launch title. The game was great to look at for the most part, but hated the controls with a passion though :P

Look forward to see some BK3 footage. Despite their sales and mixed reviews, I felt all 3 of their 360 games were good eye candy. Also, where is my VP Kart Racer? :P

The biggest flaw of PDZ from a gameplay standpoint is that solo play is absolutely useless. It's so co-op oriented they might aswell have marketed it like Crystal Chronicles.

I'll put it this way; I think the reason Gears looks good is certainly technical, and it's no doubt more technically impressive aswell.

The reason Kameo looks good is perhaps less about artistry and more about ambition. Instead of using every ounce of power to generate ultra believable slabs of concrete, they've crafted huge, varied worlds that keep your eyes lubricated for every level.

Kameo herself looks shit though.

Well, close to it, atleast. Kameo is a neat looking piece of software, but most impressive 360 title? A launch game ported from Gamecube to Xbox to 360..it is pretty considering what it's been through..but I just think it's been surpassed by a handful of games. Launch window games even.

Personally I think PGR3 is still pretty impressive, for a "launch window" game. Some other titles have already been mentioned in reply to this; FNR3, Gears, Viva Pinata even.

Kameo does some cool stuff though and it's one of those games that's unfortunately probably stuck in a permanent possition on my back burner.

...wish most games would stop trying to achieve the realistic look and go for fantasy looks, well except the likes of gear of course, looks shit hot as it is :D

shame really most people are not impressed when visually stunning games like viva kameo and BK3 and stuff come along because they look kiddy people seem only sold on the graphics of crysis and gears and shit ..... sad really.
