My comments on this game/machine been good or bad does not mean i like/hate the machine i am not a fan nor a hater, just i have a opinion and wish to share it.
They are consistently so utterly, deliciously right about Burnout 2 being the best Burnout that I pledge my soul to them in regards to determining the fun factor of racing games. Outrun 2 of rally games is simply the best thing it could possibly be.
Incidentally this is also knocking around. The cars driving around Windsor Castle.

Look at Ridge Racer, 6/7 and the second PSP game are AWESOME, and they barely even feel like you're racing with tires on the *cars*. It has the most rediculous handling ever, and it's bloody fantastic.
It's not necessarily going to appeal to the PGR crowd, and neither does it HAVE to. It's aimed at a different audience, just like this game.
And mine was sent today, should arrive with Halo 3 tomorrow. I didn't even play the demo, I wanna sink my teeth into its everything right away. :D
Would be good to know how it runs.

Well I love arcade racers, I loved Sega Rally on the DC and love Ridge Racer.
But god what is wrong with th handling in this game, the slightest touch of the controls sends you spinning off the track.
I'm wondering if the force feed back wheel is any better, anyone know ? (not that i will be buying it anyway)
Quite disappointed with how this one turned out, yet again Sega have managed to F one of their good games up.
I have only spent 20-30 minutes with the game, so i'm hoping i can get used to the controls, seems to be better using the digital input instead of the analogue or at least from what i have found out, which to be honest is not acceptable.
Marumaro for the WIN !!
I got mine today, but I'm giving Halo 3 a whirl first. According to EG the game is smooth though, so I'm not too worried. The folks that made it is essentially people from every major racing game you've ever liked, so they know what they're doing. :)

Teach me to rant before i give a game a chance...
Once you get used to the controls its actually a really fun game, the car AI is a bit retarded as times, but its an Arcade racer nobody is expecting miracles.
Graphics are less than stellar but smooth and crisp, framerate is stable.
I look forward to playing it online.
Marumaro for the WIN !!
Just think, those that try the demo won't give it half of your first 20 mins.
I dunno how they did it, but even sounds and looks like a classic Sega game. Outrun 2 with rally cars is more accurate than I could've imagined.
Even the announcer is like.. either a brother, clone or son to the guy who did the original Sega Rally voice work.
Since RSC2 no rally game has quite been able to capture my enthusiasm. I thought Dirt was quite dreadful to be honest, and even though I love Motorstorm and Excitetruck to bits they couldn't really replace that need for a pure rally game. Pure is certainly what this is. No crashing or rolling down hills or any of that superficial bull, just racing - losing or winning.
Sega Racing Studio, I see a bright future for you in my heart.
Back, sack and crack
GAAME OOVER YEAAAAAH!
I laughed a little when Jolli said the slightest touch sent you "flying off the track"--you can go off the track? The demo kept you bound to the track pretty strictly.
Online modes?
I might pick up Motorstorm too, if I can find it for like, a deep discount. I loved that demo.
And yes, I'd love a new Daytona too. I hope this sticks though, could be a short lived euphoria if it falls flat on its ass sales wise and Sega decide it's not worth pursuing more hardcore arcade remakes. :/
And yes im up for that, however my driving skill aren't up to much.. :S
Daytona isn't really my thing, so Sega can keep that one, there are plenty better franchises they could remake, Afterburner 360 or Space Harrier ^^
Marumaro for the WIN !!
I think it goes faster on flat terrain, but goes against you offroad.

Now if you said Scud Race / Super GT, you'd be on to something!
Firstly, big kudos to having original music. Some of it is even pretty good, but mostly it just ISN'T LICENCED EMO CRAP. Which is very nice for a change. Burnout went to the dark side after Burnout 2 and came bearing Franz Ferdinand and the like. This doesn't and I love it for it.
Secondly, the tracks have some frigging personality for once. I can't even remember a semi-serious game in recent times where tracks were memorable. Here I keep feeling "no THIS is my favourite track!" over and over because they really have their own proper quirks. The third safari track has an awesome twirl down into a mud pit, then a sharp turn up onto gravel that is SO satisfying to nail properly.
About the road config, I think you're right. In fact, it reminds me a bit of the different attributes in Ridge Racer, where you have like Standard, Dynamic and... uh.. Something else. There were some there I found completely awkward too, but apparently dynamic is the fastest when you know how to use it. I'll mess around a bit with the road config once I've perfected my early races. There seems to be a fair amount to do here, which is nice. Motorstorm was lacking in that sense.
I suppose they could do Sega GT 07 or something, but i doubt it wouldn't stand up against the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo, the one of the xbox didn't do so well from what i remember.
Marumaro for the WIN !!
